"The nicest stay my wife and I encountered during our ten day tour of Scotland. Lochaline is a place of stunning beauty just a short ferry ride from the Isle of Mull. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating preparing delicious breakfasts and dinners every day. Our room had an incredible view of the inland sea, mountains and 700 year old castle ruins. When upon our departure we discovered a flat tire on our vehicle, our hosts helped us by contacting an area garage and gave us the tools...

"Small country hotel with all the basics a long way from major settlement with little other accommodation available. "

"We had the most wonderful stay at Coille Darach b&b! The host was exceptional and very attentive to our needs and very friendly, and had some lovely conversations with her. Breakfast was wonderful & delicious! The property is very nice and well maintained and the room had great amenities and was very comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely stay here and again and recommend to others. Very pleased with our decision to stay in this beautiful area in the Highlands! "

"It’s nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s only about a 20 minute drive from Oban. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good - food was delicious - recommend you make a reservation for dinner. They do have a restaurant but we much preferred the atmosphere in the pub. "

"Service in the dining areas was poor. I needed to ask for things like water and coffee two or three times before receiving the items. Most of the food was good however I ordered a bread plate - the sliced bread was dried out and the butter was hard as a rock - was very disappointing. "

"The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."

"Ett äldre mysigt litet hotell. Vi hade tur som fick ett rum på 3:e våningen för det finns ingen hiss. Litet rum men rent och mycket skön säng. Toppen med badkar som vi passade på att nyttja. Vi åt frukost sista morgonen och den var god och väl tilltagen, dock ganska dyr. Ägaren jätterar och charmig och serviceminded. Läget perfekt. Vi saknade fri Wi-Fi men ett ställe nära (LuLu) hade bra uppkoppling så en drink och lite surfing blev bra."

"Stunning position and homely comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly helpful & polite. Bed was sooo comfortable our room was spacious with pleasing decor - the view our bedroom magnificent Evening meal was good as was breakfast. I loved the lovely mid blue coloured glassware in the dining room - a simple but standout ‘pop’ of colour works very well imo. Loved our stay which was enhanced by a lovely (very early) morning circular walk from the hotel encompassing woodlands and views over tranquil...

"An amazing little hotel in a quiet little street in Tobermory. Lovey, compact town, everywhere is within easy walking distance but there are a few hills. The facilities were really good, nice little bar with great food. We were made to feel really welcome, even our little toy poodle, George. We all loved our 4 night stay and definitely hope to return one day. "
