The property’s impressive, dual-aspect living space is fitted with huge sliding glass doors that fill one corner flooding the room with natural light and providing incredible views over the rooftops to the mountains beyond. This area is furnished with a large modular sofa, a Smart TV and incorporates a contemporary kitchen fitted with; an induction hob, coffee machine, a dishwasher, an oven, a fridge freezer and a dining table. A large terrace forms an extension to the living space with additional seating that provides an al fresco alternative for dining.

Location

The charming town of Locarno is known for its mild climate, beautiful lakeside setting and well-preserved medieval old town. Lake Maggiore is one of the largest and most scenic lakes in Italy and Switzerland. It offers various recreational activities, including boating and sailing. Locarno also hosts the famous Locarno Film Festival, one of the most prominent film festivals in Europe, attracting visitors and cinephiles from around the world.

The apartment is a 3-minute walk from the heart of Locarno Piazza Grande, a charming central square, just a few hundred meters from the promenade that runs along the Maggia River. Guests can also reach Lido di Locarno and Salini Spa on foot within 3 minutes. Lido di Locarno is a lakeside park offering a variety of recreational facilities, including swimming pools, water slides, beach volleyball courts, and green spaces for picnics. There is also a tennis court a 1-minute walk away and a miniature golf course right in front of the apartment building.

Visitors will also enjoy Locarno\'s Old Town (a 10-minute walk) with its historic buildings, quaint squares and cobblestone alleys leading to charming shops, cafes and local boutiques. Here guests can explore Castello Visconteo di Locarno and enjoy the panoramic views from the castle walls.

Lake Maggiore also provides opportunities for boat trips, cruises and water sports or you can enjoy leisurely walks along the lakeside promenade or relax on the beaches. The ferry terminal is just a 5-minute walk from the apartment.

The Madonna del Sasso funicular, a cable railway that takes visitors up to a decorative, late-15th century church and the starting point for mountain hikes is a 20-minute walk away (note this is a steep walk uphill). From here it is also possible to take a cable car ride to Cardada and Cimetta to enjoy panoramic views of the town, the lake and the surrounding mountains.

The closest airport to the accommodation is Lugano Airport (LUG) a 50-minute drive away.
