Beach Retreat - Dockside

Contemporary 2-bedroom apartment located on Carmarthenshire’s Millennium Coastal Path. This spacious apartment oversees Llanelli’s Sea Water Lake and is only a few steps away from the breath-taking seafront, where you can relax watching the numerous water sports.

With views extending to the Gower Peninsular and Loughour Estuary, there is no better place to enjoy walking or cycling along the outstanding 22km coastal path. The modern apartment is situated a short walk from Machynys Golf Club & Spa, ideal to unwind after an eventful day at Pembrey Country Park’s dry Ski Slope & Park, or Oakwood Theme Park.

Llanelli town centre is only a few minutes walk, with numerous supermarkets and restaurants at your fingertips. Head next door to St. Elli’s Bay for breakfasts and sumptuous desserts, all locally produced. For a taste of America, Cattle & Co Llanelli, an American BBQ Smokehouse, is located just across the lake in Llanelli’s infamous Pump House, providing culture and extraordinary cuisine for the whole family.

The space
Firs floor corner apartment, with large sliding doors onto a balcony with seating and views over the Lake. Bedrooms include one large double bedroom with wardrobe and dressing table, and a room with two single beds. Large open plan kitchen-living area with TV and appliances.

Etwas unschöne Erfahrung

Die Lage des Apartments ist super und hätte durchaus Potential, aber leider hat die Wohnung einen gewissen Bedarf an einer ordentlichen Grundreinigung und Sanierung. Ich möchte gar nicht weiter ins Detail gehen, da ich bereits bei Ankunft Michelle entsprechend informiert habe und bei der Abreise weitere Hinweise gegeben hab, was mir aufgefallen ist. Leider sind meine Feststellungen auch nichts neues, da diese Sachen auch von anderen bereits bemängelt wurden. Fotos hab ich gemacht und hab Michelle auch angeboten, diese als Beweis zu senden. Insgesamt war ich enttäuscht von dem Apartment

Needs some work

We found the property needed some TLC. For example, Bathroom and lounge doors didn't close. Instances of mould around shower/bath, side panel broken, shower heads filthy and light over washbasin not working. Severe rust/ corrosion in the microwave, oven dirty. Bedside light on right side had nowhere to plug it in. Couldn't open balcony door. A lot needs doing to bring property up to standard

Lovely visit to beautiful area

We enjoyed our stay in Llanelli. Did lots of long walks, saw beautiful beaches and yes, some rain. Flat has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bed is comfortable and warm. We would love to return for another visit soon. Thank you.

Perfect for family stay

Lovely apartment with balcony overlooking lagoon, huge master bedroom, all creature comforts, true to images on listing. Easy reach of Gower Peninsula's stunning beaches. Kids loved the bistro across so much we had to go back a second time over our 4 day stay.

Clean,comfortable, lovely views Nice just to sit on the balcony and relax Plenty of places within walking distance to eat out with reasonable prices Lots of variety of shopping places if that's what you like Plenty of places local to visit if that's what you like This time we just enjoyed sitting on the balcony and relaxing as convalescing from illness but will go back to visit again as there was so much more to do and explore 😊

Spacious but ageing flat in well maintained recreational vicinity

Das Appartement befindet sich in einer gepflegten Umgebung mit Strand, Schwimmteich, Seen, Wald und Rad- und Spazierwegen und hat mit dieser Lage das größte Plus. Die Wohnung selbst ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet und ist sehr hell mit Fenstern fast in jede Himmelsrichtung. Allerdings gibt es derzeit akuten Renovierungs- und Reparaturbedarf, eine Liste von Punkten haben wir der Vermieterin mitgeteilt. Beispiele: schlecht schließende und knarrende Türen, abgewohnte Möbel. Wer gern im Dunkeln schläft (wie wir), wird früh von der Sonne geweckt, da die Rollos und Gardinen in den beiden Schlafzimmern nicht zum Abdunkeln geeignet sind. Die Einrichtung auf den Fotos hat sich zwischenzeitlich geändert, z.B. runder statt eckiger Tisch im Wohnzimmer, andere Stühle, andere Heizkörper etc.

Ok, a bit tired

The apartment block and the apartment itself is looking a bit tired and in need of some attention. The flat was generally clean but there were dirty areas in the bathroom and bedrooms which felt grubby. On a positive note it was a well equipped kitchen- albeit the fridge door opens the wrong way! It was quite noisy at night with cars revving up and down the road outside. The windows were dirty and everything could do with a freshen up. Communal area not welcoming and dirty also.

Nette kleine Wohnung in guter Lage direkt am Meer

Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und hat alles was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war gut, Antworten kamen sehr schnell. Check-in mit einer Schlüsselbox ist super, weil man dann ankommen kann, wann man will. Der Strand mit Promenade ist nur ein paar Schritte vom Haus entfernt, allerdings ist es kein Badestrand. Es gibt aber direkt vor dem Haus einen Teich, wo man schwimmen kann, was auch die Einheimischen fleißig tun. Kleinigkeiten in der Wohnung sind reparaturbedürftig, aber alles in allem können wir die Wohnung wirklich empfehlen.

Llanelli lake

I stayed for the weekend Friday to Monday and apartment was as listed.Michelle was very helpful ,great communication.Ideal as a base to explore.There was scaffold up on building so balcony out of action but Michelle had mentioned this and did not spoil my visit the views was amazing. I could even see swimmers in the Lake. kitchen was well equipped for all your needs. Very happy to go back when I need a short break.

Has the potential to be amazing holiday rental with everything needed for a great stay like good Wi-Fi once it worked-day after arrival, a washer dryer with detergent provided and good sized clothes airer. The beds were comfortable & kitchen had everything needed. We came for the proximity to our favourite beach & all the amenities that Llanelli has. However the building work that’s taking place should have been mentioned on the listing, fortunately we just had scaffolding & the balcony was out of use, but on our last day plastic sheeting was put up too which would have meant the windows couldn’t be opened either. On reflection this may have been preferable as the dust, especially in the main bedroom, from the works taking place really irritated us all, someone with breathing difficulties may have found it particularly hard, especially with the unseasonal heat when we stayed. There were fans provided which helped with the heat, but it just churned the dust. The vacuum didn’t work & the only broom available had a broken handle which made it difficult to use, but I damp dusted the floor & surfaces in the bedroom a few times to help with the dust. The TV came with a remote for a different model so unusable the 1st night as there was no Wi-Fi for the fire stick, this was replaced after contacting the owner, but the main issue was the toilet. It wasn’t fixed to the floor, sat uneven, moving when used. Apparently the owner was unaware. A bit of TLC, attention to detail & it’s 4*.

Just got home from our Llanelli break...the apartment was really nicely located with both beach and lake views. Caroline was quick to answer any qs we had but everything was well explained in advance. Youngest child was v sad to leave and is asking to go back already!

Great location, Lovely apartment

Had a lovely week at this property. Lovely to sit on the balcony to watch activity on the lake and great to walk out onto the beach on the other side for fires in the evening. St Ellis Bay a great place on the doorstep for food and drink. Very clean and spacious property. Caroline very responsive to a few questions we had whilst staying there.
