Nestled in the heart of Paradise Valley, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The Ranch House Cottage is cozy, sparkling clean, all the amenities of home and more. The cottage is attached to the new Ranch House (which is currently under construction), Cottage remains totally private. No Shared spaces - only the views. Construction halts during guest stays.
Relax in front of the inside fireplace or enjoy the crackling sound and smell of a wood burning fireplace in the outdoor pavilion .

Wonderful cabin with all the amenities. Comfortable, just right with incredible views of paradise valley. Husband and I fly fish YNP, Yellowstone River and other rivers each year. Perfect location for easy access to Lamar valley, Yellowstone River and some private ranch creeks to fish. Great food and general store within 8 minutes from cabin. Only 25 min to Livingston or Gardiner ad well! Our favorite home base for the park for hiking and fishing to come home to cook and have wine on the porch and play cards!

Incredible property

We had an amazing stay at the lone cactus. From the views to the outdoor pavilion to the inside of the property everything was what we thought it would be and more. This will certainly be our first choice anytime we visit the region. I truly don’t think there is a better option out there!

Beauty and Perfect

This cabin is amazing! The views are all around! The cabin is so well done! Every detail is met! The cabin is very clean and comfortable! We enjoyed the places created for sitting outside and taking in the views. We hope to stay again and again! It’s that good!

Lone Cactus Stay

Our experience staying in this cottage was wonderful. We originally were hoping to stay on site at Chico Hot Springs. They were completely booked out and ended up staying here. Blessing in disguise. It is such a beautiful and quiet area to stay. The weather was less than desirable. We were glad to have somewhere cozy to stay. We will definitely be coming back for a summer trip. The property owners were wonderful and made communication very easy.

Perfect Paradise Valley

This place is perfect. Stunning views in every direction. You'll rarely hear any modern ambient noises (cars, planes....) but you will hear the breeze in the tall grass, birds singing, cows lowing. The owners couldn't be nicer. The property is stocked with everything you'll need. I'll definitely go back.

August Getaway!

Amazing property in the heart of Paradise Valley! Judy and Terry were wonderful hosts and made certain to provide guidance for any guest needs. Loved meeting Amen (horse) as he is an absolute sweetheart. Comfortable furnishings, great kitchen with all amenities, a brand new covered outdoor fireplace and covered horseshoe pits. The views of the mountains are 360* and quick access to 540 for traveling. Chico Hot Springs is 10 minutes down the road as is Sage Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Lone Cactus and will be returning! Thank you, Rachel, Steve, and Jack

We really enjoyed the cottage. Didn’t get to enjoy areas outside due to rain. And unfortunately due to Yellowstone River flooding we had to leave a day early. Judy & Terry were very accommodating!

Yellowstone

My husband and I booked this cabin for our visit to Yellowstone. The cabin is just as listed. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities you could ask for. The host are close by and ready to help with any need. We could not have been any more pleased with our stay.

Wonderful place to stay

Our stay exceeded our expectations by a long shot. Beautiful surroundings both inside and out. We were able to relax and it was so quiet! Will recommend to all family and friends as a great place to spend time and see Yellowstone as well

Beautiful Cabin, Great Location

Lone Cactus cabin was the perfect place for our quick stay in Pray! It was just as beautiful in person as it was in the pictures, exceptionally clean, and even decorated for Christmas! The hosts were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Close to Chico Hot Springs, Yellowstone Hot Springs, and good food and entertainment at Old Saloon. We will definitely be back!

Past wonderful

We could not have enjoyed our time in Pray at the cottage more. Everything about the cottage was the best that it could be. The is probably the best VRBO we have stayed at. We spent one day in the Park, and another day at Chico and environs, and had the cottage to come back to - which was wonderful. The cottage was a big part of a truly memorable and enjoyable trip to the Paradise Valley. Thank you for making the cottage available.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at the Lone Cactus.

We loved staying at this beautiful cabin/cottage in the middle of Pray, Montana. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Judy and Terry were readily available for any questions. It was a quick half hour drive to the North Entrance to YNP. Chico Hot Springs is just a few miles down the road. We hope to be back to visit again someday!

Amazing Cottage

We arrived later in the evening and the hosts made sure everything was ready for our arrival. Everything was well thought out and we loved the views from every room in the place. We will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a cozy stay near so many different amenities Montana has to offer!

Fantastic!

Paradise Valley is an incredible place and this cabin is perfect. Isolated but close to Chico Hot Springs and a short drive to both Gardiner/Yellowstone and Livingston. Inside is really well laid out and cozy. We had some trouble with our car in the snow and the owners were on it with shovels and a snowplow and nothing but hospitality. We will be back for sure! This is quintessential Montana! Don’t miss this one:)

Cozy cottage

Had a wonderful experience with my family at the Lone Cactus Cottage. The views were some of my favorite in Montana. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. The location was so close to Chico Hot Springs and the cottage itself was warm, inviting and so relaxing. They had everything you needed to cook with and some spices and condiments. The fireplace warmed up the cottage pretty fast, so you don’t need it running for long. My advice is to book and remember to bring your own Shampoo and Conditioner because of COVID.
