Beautiful Suite in the Colorado Mountains w/Gourmet Breakfast

The Backdoor Guest is your private county-licensed suite where you can find peace and tranquility. Your stay includes a FULL GOURMET BREAKFAST each morning. Spectacular views abound from the comfort of your suite. Amazing sunrises greet you in the morning and beautiful sunsets close the day with style. The suite is located on 40 private acres in the mountains of beautiful Colorado and is near the National Forest for endless viewing opportunities.

Relax with spectacular views from floor to ceiling windows. The B&B has a 450 sq ft open floor plan (entire place, secondary unit) with a living, dining and sleeping area, private laundry facilities and private bath with Indonesian stone & tile shower. Your kitchenette includes a microwave, apartment-sized refrigerator, coffee maker & tea kettle. A flat screen TV with a blue-ray player is provided for your movie-watching pleasure.

Each guest will be welcomed with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and unobstructed views of the millions of stars at night. Each morning a gourmet, made-from-scratch breakfast will be delivered to your suite which will start your day off right. (Accommodations for any dietary choices is no problem!) The suite has a private entrance, private deck and a private patio for your enjoyment. Pit Boss wood pellet grill and smoker, with all necessary equipment, is located on your private deck.

Guests have full access to our private 40 acres as well as to views of the national forest. Perfect for long walks, extended hikes, or snowshoeing. Horseback riding is available down the road at a private facility.

We are available to answer any questions you may have but your privacy is our utmost goal. Luncheon and dinner options are available at an additional charge.

The suite is ideally suited for 2 people. However, there is a deluxe electric-powered queen-sized or twin air mattress for your use.

Very secluded but easily accessible. Great place for to get away to enjoy quiet time. Five very nice restaurants are within 20 minutes or less. There are many activities in the area such as horseback riding, fishing, golfing, hiking or winter activities such as tubing, snowshoeing, or snowboarding. A spectacular meditation center is located nearby for various classes, quiet time or to connect with other like-minded people.

There is no public transportation. A 4 wheel drive, front wheel drive or all-wheel drive is possibly needed only if snow is forecasted and expected during your stay. Otherwise, 2 wheel drive is fine.

We are eco-conscience with natural solar heating, recycling bins, reusable dishes, green cleaning supplies (other than sanitizing products) and a clean-burning wood stove. Appliances are Energy Star certified. We purchase local produce and meats and our lovely chickens supply your farm fresh eggs!

Such a great place to unplug, spend time in nature and unwind! I loved walking the property with my pup, watching the sunrise from the bed, and sitting up on the hill to watch beautiful sunsets!

This very well equipped studio-type space is well planned & comfortable. A southern orientation with lots of windows with a good bed, nice bathroom, kitchenette & cosy sitting area, it's in a lovely valley & abuts national forest perfect for hiking. Hosts Lana & Morgan made us very welcome, & let me tell you, the food was delicious.

Very cozy suite with everything we could want or need, and abundant windows allowed us to take in the view at all times. The breakfast menu was varied with abundant choices, and the meals were delightful and delicious. The landscape is beautiful, the location serene and also provided for Kelly's frisbee needs. :-) Lana and Morgan were fantastic hosts, highly recommended!
View from the bed...doesn't show the whole room, but I didn't want to show our messy suitcases! I was enjoying the lovely comforter, which is lightweight but warm.

This was such a wonderful weekend . The suite is comfy and with all you really need to get -away. Didn’t use phone or internet. Played games hiked a lot and got to meet Bubba he is a beautiful horse that wants a few snacks (see Morgan first he can only have a few of certain ones ) Also Lana Cooking was wonderful breakfast and dinners. We never had to use our car once we got there The stars are beautiful and no light pollution. I would give it a 10 out of 10

So incredibly peaceful and calm (which was perfect as we were trying to get our dogs away from Fourth of July fireworks)! Setting was lovely and idyllic both indoors and outdoors. Incredible get away in the mountains

Everything about Lana and Morgan’s mountain getaway was truly incredible, this home provided true soul food as well as delicious breakfasts! Every little detail from a dog bone for Banjo with breakfasts to peppermints for Bubba, it was truly a wonderful stay. Thank you both!!

A Marvelous Experience

We were looking for a true mountain experience and this did not disappoint. There was a good balance between professional service and a “homey” atmosphere. We enjoyed an included, custom-ordered gourmet breakfast each day and even ordered some specially prepared dinners that were fantastic. We spent lots of time on the deck watching many different types of wildlife and domesticated animals, including Bubba the horse. Lana and Morgan did many things to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend….

Amazing Getaway

It was a nice, relaxing weekend to disconnect. Lana and Morgan were amazing hosts and the breakfast was delicious, every morning. Even after the snow and our car not being able to make it out, they called their neighbors to help get us out!

Birthday get away

Lana and Morgan were supurb hosts AGAIN. This was our second time visiting and it won't be our last. We had our first visit in May and booked this stay on our way home. The food is delicious and their service is 5 star. If one is looking for a place to connect while being disconnected this is the place. Thank you both for such a relaxing time. The birthday cake and balloon were such a sweet gesture. Thank you.

Wonderful stay

Had a great time. It's a relaxing, serene place to stay for a few days. Host Lana and her daughter Morgan were wonderful and the food was so good. Try the evening meals if you dont feel like going out - especially the pizza! I would definitely go back for a weekend getaway.

Peace

Other than the lack of Wi-Fi which they message you about and is on their listing everything was perfect. (If it’s not downloaded your out of luck, No LTE or 5g. I was honestly still a little thrown because my mom lives up there and I can still use my phone enough to read my serial novels at her place without Wi-Fi.) Everything is meticulously marked and arranged. There are directions for everything and if you forgot something they have you covered. You can get help at the push of a button. I loved my breakfast every morning and ate every bite. You get to pick from a menu and they deliver it at the time you marked. I would definitely go back! I had a blast with my dog and all the hikes we did.

Welcoming, responsive staff. Very basic, but adequate—not luxurious. Several options for filling breakfast. Generally well equipped, but no stovetop or kitchen, nowhere to prepare a meal conveniently. Microwave, small fridge, kettle, coffee maker. Lots of games and videos. 21% fees on top of lodging.

This property is located in a serene valley with beautiful views. The hosts are friendly folks who happen to be excellent cooks. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect from technology & a busy life, this would be a great choice.

Great remote getaway

Gorgeous getaway

What a treat to find this beautiful B&an! Mark and I were looking for a "glamping" type experience and this exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed being unplugged. Both of us read multiple books, enjoyed short walks with our little pups, and completed a puzzle. We feel very rested and rejuvenated. Lana+Morgan -Thankyou! Imagine the best possible quiet get away from EVERYTHING where the accommodations are just perfect and the food awakens taste buds you didn't know you had. Now staying with Lana and Morgan is better than that. We so enjoyed our stay we booked our next stay on our way home from our trip. The breakfast is included and is so filling. The portions are so generous you definitely will not be hungry. We also encourage you to take advantage of the extra meals they offer. They are delivered to your door in courses and no matter what you choose you can't go wrong. If you are even on the fence we say DO IT and do it SOON. You and any guests with you will be so thankful!
