"We were there as a base for 2 nights. We were upgraded as the site wasn’t busy. Steve, the Manager, was extremely friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be going again, and next time, for more than 2 nights."

"I had a good stay at the Castle Hotel. Lovely little hotel, super comfy bed and gorgeous bed linen. The room was spotless and generous tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom products. No A/C as it's a beautiful old building, but that was fine as was able to open windows and control the radiator. I didn't have a cooked breakfast but buffet options were fine and the other guests seemed to be enjoying their cooked food. I will stay again, thank you."

When I reached Damon's, the reception member of staff quickly realised I was physically disabled and immediately changed my room for a ground floor room to make things easier for me. I only used the restaurant for breakfast, which offered a really good menu with reasonable prices.I was sorry not to have the time to visit the resaurant for an evening meal. "We had a fantastic stay here whilst attending a wedding nearby. The owners were super helpful in terms of their communication ahead of our booking, as well as in answering all of our questions in the build up. The cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and their suggestions for things to do in the nearby area.
