Nos encanta esta zona Hay vistas increíbles en toda la casa, y se encuentra en una calle privada sin salida en Sugar Hill, NH, justo en las montañas blancas. Durante esta época del año, la casa se encuentra en el centro de excelentes actividades al aire libre: el parque estatal Franconia Notch, Cannon Mt, senderos para caminatas y el lago Echo están cerca ... y excelentes restaurantes. La casa tiene dos pisos: la planta baja tiene una cocina abierta / sala de estar configurada como la sala de estar principal. Hay una pared de 10 ventanas que se abren a la vista de la montaña y la cubierta. La cocina está completamente equipada con ollas, sartenes, cafetera, todos los electrodomésticos, todos los cubiertos y cristalería y platos y utensilios de cocina. En la planta principal también hay una sala con TV con cable satelital, internet, baño completo y cuarto de baño y lavadora / secadora. Arriba hay tres dormitorios y otro baño completo. La casa es ideal para personas que desean salir todo el día para actividades y luego regresar a un entorno tranquilo con una gran vista para relajarse, tomar una copa de vino o cerveza y preparar la cena. O simplemente puede relajarse y mirar la vista todo el día. Las principales razones por las que amamos esta área son: hay senderos para caminatas en todo el parque estatal Franconia Notch, excelente acceso al esquí, y también locales fuera del circuito turístico, senderos para caminar. Cannon Mt está a 15 minutos en coche, Bretton Woods y el monte. Washington Lodge está a solo unos 30-35 minutos para todo tipo de aventuras. En términos de restaurantes cercanos, hay excelentes opciones de sopa y sándwiches en Wendles en Franconia, Polly's Pancakes es un favorito local que se ha vuelto a hacer por completo, The Horse and Hound ha vuelto a abrir sus puertas para una cena realmente agradable, Baliwicks ofrece gran cena en Littleton, al norte de nuestro lugar y una cervecería local, Schilling, se ha abierto en Littleton para disfrutar de excelentes pizzas, ensaladas y excelentes cervezas. Hay muchas otras excelentes opciones para comer, beber y comprar antigüedades. Para comprar ropa, Garnet Hill ofrece grandes descuentos en ropa justo al lado de Wendles en Franconia. We didn’t want to leave! The views were stupendous, the hiking was marvelous. The kitchen was well appointed for real cooks, The house was welcoming and comfortable. We will definitely return.

Remote location with panoramic view

This house rental was very compatible for our family of four. The separate room for the TV left the open concept kitchen/dining/living room distraction free to socialize while enjoying the amazing view of the mountains. On one of the clear days we were able to see the whole range all the way down to Mt. Washington. The remoteness was also a plus for the complete silence it afforded us. The owner was extremely responsive and communicated before, during and after our stay to insure we had a positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to use this property again.

Beautiful area, very comfortable home

The house is definitely sunggled in the woods of Sugar Hill. Very peaceful. The home is clean & spacious. We did not cook there but there appeared to be plenty of pots/pans, etc. It is located about 30 minutes from Lincoln, where we visited the Ice Castles. We could not get the propane fireplace to stay lit, so hopefully John, the owner will investigate. Thank you!

This was the perfect location for our 9 day stay in early October. Private and quiet yet close to hiking and the spectacular scenery this area has to offer. The accommodations are extremely comfortable with the best equipped kitchen of any rental we've ever stayed at....including the near extinct sharp kitchen knives! Sitting on the deck watching the light change on Mt. Lafayette as the sun set, or the early morning view with the mist covered valleys often accompanied by the hooting of the Barred Owls in the forest below is not to be missed. We've been holidaying in the White Mountains for 30+ years and Mountain House is a real gem.

Comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming home

Our stay was everything we hoped for. The neighborhood was quiet and the view from the deck was amazing and relaxing! The house was clean, bright and bigger than expected. When wanting to relax, there was plenty of space to easily separate to different areas to watch t.v., read, play games, or nap. The large family dining room table was a favorite place to come together for food and conversation. We all slept well as the beds were very comfortable and had cozy pillows and blankets. The owners were easy to communicate with and take time and effort to make their home a comfortable and welcoming place for their guests.

a great escape in a fantastic area

We were in New Hampshire for a wedding and prior to our arrival we were nervous about the lack of traditional hotel accomodations and the abundance of "rustic" options regarding vrbo homes. This house was perfect, though. Clean, updated, good water pressure, nice linens and an amazing view! The house had all of the things we needed and it was just 15 minutes from the wedding location (though we did think it was closer when we booked because we did not know about a road closure). The owner was very responsive and the check-in and check-out procedures were easy and painless... I highly recommend.

Perfect Place!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone! The house is extremely spacious, has all the amenities one would need and the VIEW!!! Waking up to views of the mountain was breathtaking! It is an easy ride to the ski mountains and there are some great restaurants close by too. John (the host) was very communicative and helpful and it truly felt like a home away from home.

This place is a gem!

Ever-changing mountain views from most rooms in the house. The layout really takes full advantage of the view. We saw spectacular sunrises, purple sunsets, and the most amazing full moon rise we have ever seen. Peaceful, private setting. Great floor plan for a family. Well-stocked kitchen. Clear, helpful communication and local recommendations from John. We hope to return sometime.

Mountain View

I loved the Mountain View from many rooms in the house. A great location to go out and enjoy all the White Mountains have to offer. We conquered Mount Flume and Mount Liberty, visited The Flume Gorge, and did some horseback riding. So many more things to do and see had we had more days.

Wonderful Home in a Great Spot

In short, this is a great house. The listing is accurate, the house is clean, ideally located, and well supplied with quality furniture and accessories. John is easy to contact and to communicate with. My wife and I spent a week here in July and have rented many houses in the area and elsewhere and this is among the best. You won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s house. The place was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the view amazing. We skied Bretton Woods and Loon (both about 30 minutes away). We can’t wait to return!

Lovely Christmas week in NH

This is a delightful, comfortable, and cozy house for a family or a small group. It has access to the great NH outdoors, with many White Mountain attractions and activities close by. We really enjoyed the gas powered "wood" stove in the living area, it gives off good heat and adds a nice ambiance to a winter evening. The kitchen is well stocked with good cookware and utensils. The beds are very comfortable. On a clear day the views of the Franconia Range from the living/kitchen area (and from the deck) are beautiful. Our only hitch was when the first of our group arrived, they discovered that the driveway hadn't been plowed. It is a short but steep hill down to the house. Thankfully the owners responded when we reached out, and it was plowed and sanded within 1-2 hours. We had to request plowing/sanding a couple of times during the course of our week, and the owners and the plowing company were very responsive. If arriving for a winter stay, it might be a good idea to double check the condition of the driveway with the owners before arriving. This is a lovely house that we would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains. We would certainly like to return ourselves!

Beautiful View

The property is a challenge to get to but the view as you open the door to the house is worth it. We stayed as a family of 4 and had plenty of room and the 2 showers were also helpful. The property is clean and in good shape.

Beautiful House

This house was an excellent place for a stay with 5 adults planning to hike in the Franconia area. It was spacious for cooking and relaxing and the view was incredible. Many good trailheads within 20-30 minutes.

The View!

We had never been to New Hampshire, and what a treat this house was for us! Our first night we sat on the deck and watched the full moon rise over the White Mountains!!! Beautiful! The full kitchen and ding were great for big meals and all the tips the manager gave for activities were spot on! Loved our time in Franconia.

Oh that view!

This is a terrific VRBO rental. The view of the mountains was spectacular and the house is lovely. It is big enough for a family of six, but small enough to feel cozy and warm. The house was extremely clean and well appointed. The owner was available for questions throughout the weekend and gave some excellent guidance on local eateries and shopping. We had a wonderful family weekend here and made some very special memories. We hope to come back soon.
