Renovated on the 3rd floor in the city center - Alfama district, next to São Jorge castle, in a traditional house among local people, where you can fully enjoy the taste of the city. Here you will have the real atmosphere that lives among the locals. It has a splendid view of the Tagus.
We will be there upon your arrival to give you the door code and more local information.

Information about the apartment:

Cozy 3rd floor apartment sleeping 2 plus a good friend or child in a restored building, 30 meters from Alfama's famous Santa Lucia viewpoint, a five-minute walk from the castle and the cathedral.

Markets, bakeries and many restaurants are nearby. Traditional transport is 10 meters away and the metro is 600 meters away. Here you will have the real atmosphere living among the locals.

The apartment has a living room with a sofa bed one person
There is a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower.

Kitchen with new new equipment and includes a washing machine, microwave and fridge.

Wifi internet, cable TV with international channels
Sheets and towels are provided.
Free heating in winter

Transport:
Thirty meters from buses and trams (12.28), subway 600 meters away (Martim Moniz station)
Restaurants, supermarkets and shops nearby.

The apartment is usually available from 3pm on the day of arrival until 11am on the departure date, but if need be we can be flexible about it.

The property was exactly as explained and was perfect for our three nights in Lisbon. Several cafes and restaurants surround the location and about one block away is a spot for amazing sunrise photos. We met the owner at he small cafe (only a few minutes away) and she was very gracious. One thing I will mention which I found endearing, but should be known by those over six feet tall, is that the front door way is very short so watch you head. Haha. One other thing to mention is the air conditioner works very well and they also provide fans! Thank you for having us!!

Solid listing with one discrepancy

Fantastic location and cozy little spot. Hosts were pleasant with good communication but make no mistake about it there is no AC. There’s a few fans and one apparently is supposed to blow cold air and has an ice drawer but it wasn’t effective with the one small tray of cubes in the freezer and there are no ice packs in the house. Nights were breezy and cool with the windows open but the days were extremely hot. Otherwise would recommend!

Staying in the apartment during the festivities of St. Antonio (around June 13th.) is not recommended. There is disco all around the place until 6:00am. We could not get sleep for an hour! Our hosts were not very helpfull and did not answer our messages.

3 Quick Days in Lisboa

This small but lovely flat was perfect to finish our 3 week tour of Portugal. It is in an excellent location to tour the city on foot or via tuck tuck. Clean, comfortable and exactly as advertised. Many cafe’s and restaurants within short walking distance.

Perfect location!

The location was perfect, the place was great for 4 nights, it was all we could have asked for. The views were great! It was only noisy one of the nights but it doesn’t seem too typical as there are no bars or restaurants below that stay open too late.

Quaint Old Town Lisbon Flat in a Great Location!

This wonderful little apartment has all the amenities needed for a great stay. Nice sleeping area, nice bathroom, great view and nice little eating nook. The location is perfect with literally a dozen restaurants within a stones throw. It is very easy to get on the the local trolly cars, Tuk Tuks, cabs or Uber from your front door. Excursions to other areas of Lisbon and even further like Sintra are easy to setup due to this. The owners were great communicators and easy to get a hold of. Recommend to any couples or single travelers looking for a comfy place to lay their head after exciting days/nights on the town.

Cozy apartment, great for a couple of days

Nice and cozy apartment located between two beautiful viewpoints. Excellent location, not so far from the main touristic attractions. The host is very welcoming person, the instructions were simple and very clear. Excellent communication.Be ready to the very steep stairs, there is no elevator. The windows face the street with trams, you can hear and feel every tram passing. However, this wasn’t an issue for us, we really enjoyed our stay!

Alfama Lisbon Portugal Stay

The suite was nice with a small window through which we had a view of the Tagus River and December sunrises. The Number 28 Tram rumbled by the front of the building. The bedroom and the shower was a little tight but they were minor compromises given the overall nice atmosphere.

Sweet location

The apartment is as shown on the site; it is small and on the very top floor under the roof, but we found it suited our needs perfectly. The location is ideal for discovering the Alfama and beyond; the streets are picturesque, safe and the trolleys rattle right by the street below. From the mini-balcony you see an amazing tree shading restaurant tables, at a particularly challenging corner for cars (entertaining for us!). We appreciated the views of the river from the little windows in the sitting area, and the hosts provided many thoughtful details including guidebooks, advice about places to eat, coffee, and a bottle of wine! The castle is close by, and the Porta del Sol viewpoint, and we found a range of fun restaurants in the area (Tapas, Casa di Tia Helena...). A wonderful stay!

Great stay in October

Everything was great. The appartment is very cozy, has everything you need and is well located in the heart of Alfama. The only thing to complain was the sofabed in the livingroom. It is not really comfprtable for sleeping.

Cozy Home in the Hustle and Bustle of Alfama

I adore this apartment. If I find myself back in that part of Portugal I will certainly check its availability first! It is in a busy part of Alfama, close to the nightlife. However, still feels safe and comfortable. It had every amenity I needed and I felt well taken care of. I’m so glad I booked this apartment!

The location of this apartment is amazing! The touristy city center, castle, and other sites are just a short walk away. There’s a TON of good restaurants to choose from and we felt very safe walking the streets both in the day and at night in this neighborhood. There are fans provided since there is no A/C. It had the basic necessities aside from any laundry detergent. The only downside of the apartment is the ants. Make sure all food items are completely sealed or stored in the fridge because even when we didn’t have food out there were a lot of ants. It def did not ruin our stay though!
