"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "Brilliant, helpful staff. From the moment we checked in we felt welcomed after a 14 mile walk around the peaks. It was just the break we needed in a quiet pub. The food was also amazing!"

"The accommodation was fantastic - we stayed in the two bed apartment. Loved the decor and the very soft carpet which really added a special touch. The views are amazing looking out onto fields of sheep. It's extremely quiet, being the apartment at the back end of the accommodations. A large smart TV in each of the rooms - this gives the option of relaxing and logging into to all your apps. The fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and this could be seen throughout. "Easy to find. Staff friendly. Although the room felt tired it was clean comfortable and had everything you needed, however as a light sleeper a blackout blind would be welcome. We had a evening meal was absolutely delicious and we would recommend. Would stay here again"

"We took a spontaneous trip to Malham Cove for a night away. This lovely hotel is down a quiet country road 1/2 a mile from the cove and near to several other pubs and cafes. The building is very old and reached over an old stone bridge or the beck (stream) Parking is available and the room was nicely furnished with views of the water and a very comfy bed. "Beautiful old building and neat gardens, staff helpful and attentive even though few of them. Excellent food, veggie available on each menu. Comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, big bath, plenty hot drink makings. Lovely and peaceful."

"Well impressed with the Inn overall but particularly the room which was spacious and fitted out with the best linen, bed, room and bathroom furniture. The best ingredients for the food too. Ideal location for the multiple walks in the area. To be recommended. "

"Stayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. "

"5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. "
