Das Stein Haus! Charming 2-bedroom limestone house in Liebenthal, Kansas.

  • Make yourself at home in this historic 2-bedroom, four bed Liebenthal retreat set on a one acre lot. This limestone home was the first stone house in Liebenthal (Love Valley) and was built by our 3x great grandfather in 1886. It was remodeled in 2024/2025. This house features AC, heating a washing machine and dryer, a clothes steamer, a hair dryer, a Keurig coffee maker and WiFi for convenience. The bathroom comes equipped with a shower, soap, shamppoo and conditioner.
    There is a 50" smart TV in the living room while each bedroom has its own smart TV.
    Enjoy the full kitchen with all of the pots, pans, utensils, silverware and cookware you need. Appliances include a microwave, air fryer, ice machine stove and refrigerator.
    The kitchen bar seats six while the living room seats another 5 guests.
    There is plenty of room in the huge open yard for kids to play and pets to run! (1 acre)There is also a patio, fire pit, picnic table and BBQ grill!!
    Bedrooms are upstairs.
    We LOVE 5 star reviews! If you have any issues during your stay please let us know. Although we want to welcome everyone, we know our property isn't the right fit for everyone. Please read the description and look at the photos to make sure this is the right place for you.
    There is a small pet fee. Please don't try to sneak in your furry friends. We will see them on the front door camera.😁

This is a really cool location. We loved the old stone house with all the modern amenities you need. Perfect place to stay if you’re out in this part of Kansas.

Adorable historic place. Worth the 20 ish minute off I-70 if you are traveling. The owners are great. Very clean. Totally will stay here again in the future.

Great stay in a charming house!

The Stein Haus is charmingly rustic in all the right ways and modern and up to date in all of its amenities and comforts. Our family of six enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return.

Charming house - great stay!

Stayed one night on the 4th of July. Charming house with lots of history. Hosts were very communicative, had thought of all the little things to make the house cozy and comfortable. They went out of their way to make our kids’ 4th of July fun!

It seemed like you thought of everything! We were very comfortable. Thanks so much! We ended up sleeping downstairs on the reclining sofa because neither of us felt like going down the stairs at night would be safe (we are in our late 60s). No fault of the host at all but some people might appreciate knowing this.

Everything about this home has been considered. Comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen, even basic toiletries. We have stayed in over 50 VRBOs all over the world and this one is a stand out. Hosts are kind, accommodating, and have superb communication. We will return.

Amazing

The house is so beautiful and so well taken care of! The house has so much history, which you can view the information on the table when you enter the house. The property host were so great with recommending the local Sonny’s bar and grill, best burgers! I was traveling with my wife, our teenage son and our Aussie and this was a perfect stay as we were just passing through. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. There was nothing you didn’t think to supply. I’m sure you already know that the shower leaks and that’s unfortunate with those glass doors and almost unavoidable. Large black flies upstairs but that’s part of an old home
