  • We live in a rural area that is very safe, quiet,, peaceful, and relaxing. People here are very friendly and helpful.
    The house and property has been in the family for around 200 hundred years. The surrounding are beautiful and has a cave in the back yard that provided refrigeration for the family . There is still the remains of the old hand water pump and cold storage area is still intact.

Nice property in rural Kentucky, house was clean, second floor stairs a bit steep but expected in an older house. Appreciated the WiFi out there.

Amazing

The home was very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed the warmth and country atmosphere it had. The host was very friendly and accommodating. She was also reachable when needed. A great location if you want to get away from the city life.

Cozy home away from home in tranquil Kentucky

We loved staying at this historical home away from home. The house is full of nice touches and antique furniture, large rooms and beautifully staged. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved the rural get away from it all location, yet is just 90 minutes from Lexington. Gwen was wonderful, very responsive and helpful. Very much a caring host.

Cute house!

The house was very nice and spacious, and had some nice old school charm. I loved the cave in the back and it felt private with the long driveway. A bit hard to find in the dark but once I did everything was great :)

Beautiful historic home in a quiet neighborhood

I stayed in a beautifully restored and cared for historic home with character! The skeleton key door knobs on some of the doors reminded me of a time since past as well as the ornate designs of the woodworking when things were done by hand rather now by silly machines with no character (or sense of one).It is easy to see and feel the property has been cared for with love...it is felt within the home.I saw the Daffodils starting to emerge for the Spring.

The worst air b and b experience of my life. We travel on weekends often and have stay at air b and b’s often; we understand each property and owner is unique to their approach at hosting. This property was a nightmare. Spiders and webs lined all the ceilings, with bugs all throughout the floors of the rooms. Every crack in the kitchen counter has major crumbs and debris everywhere. Upstairs does not have AC, which was problematic for our visit when it was in the high 80’s and 90’s. The lights upstairs didn’t work, so between the heat and darkness of the upstairs, we had to share a bed downstairs and try using the floor space. The second night I went ahead and spent an additional $225 on air mattresses and pads. The beds themselves are bare bones minimum. Mattresses are old coil springs with sparse bedding; definitely not the relaxing getaway it’s portrayed to be. Wi-Fi was down and didn’t work. TV didn’t work. Fridge was full of used and opened food. I took pics of everything. Never again. Be warned!

Very Cozy Farm house in a secluded area. Really quiet area with lots of different views of the country side. Inside of the home it was nicely decorated with great care. The rooms were large and clean. Very unique home with a lot of history that you can see and feel. Washroom is updated and modern as is the kitchen area. Great Airconditioning...Nice mixture of past and present. Great phone signal and the TV was hooked up to the internet, we were able to watch our YouTube Picker shows... Especially, since we were out picking the highway127 yard sales during the world's longest Yard Sale weekend.. This home is located just off of HWY 127. Great experience, Thank you Gwen!
