The Holt is a new and modern ground floor flat, comfy, cosy and bright within the Coach House of Eastfield Lodge. The Holt is ideal for a couple, or a couple with young children wishing to have a self-catering base in the Dales. The super-kingsize bed can be split in two to create a twin room. We are happy for up two small children to stay on the sofabed in the living room or one adult. The Holt has all modern amenties such as cooker, hob, microwave, WiFi, TV, and underfloor heating and has a parking space provided and there are a couple of EV Charging points available for a small charge. Up to two dogs are welcome and we charge £15 per day per dog. Just 300 m from the picturesque market square of Leyburn, the Holt is ideally situated for exploring one of England’s prettiest rural landscapes. We are open all year round to welcome families, friends and groups who wish to book the whole house for their exclusive use. With its spacious rooms and communal areas, the house is ideal for larger get-togethers. The house has an enviable location and classic views. Leyburn, is the principal town of Wensleydale with its independent shops, tearooms and pubs – and yet, within 5 minutes of the house, you can be in glorious landscapes. You can start walks from the door or take short picturesque drives to trailheads in gems like Swaledale, Coverdale or Arkengarthdale. It’s also a 5 minute walk to the Wensleydale Tourist Railway for step-back-in-time access to the heart of the National Park. Increasingly, the Lodge is being used to host Corporate Stays.
Book online for the best deals. The house can booked for up to 16 online, but can actually accommodate up to 22 using extra divans and campbeds. If you wish to add additional guests please mention this in the notes or contact us directly so they can be applied to the booking. With the 'self-catered' option we'll generally be here to welcome you, then let you settle yourselves in and relax. You can then be left to your own devices but there is a wealth of information on walks and places of interest. Please note, up to 4 dogs are allowed at a cost of GBP 15 per day per dog and subject to agreement of our Dog Policy.

A wonderful relaxing weekend break.
So peaceful, in a perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire dales. Convenient for a walk into the market town of Leyburn. Excellent modern facilities, exceptionally comfortable bed which ensured a good nights sleep for both of us. Fabulous friendly hosts who looked after us very well.

The Perfect Hideaway!
We always come back to The Holt as it is so well presented, clean, comfortable, and perfectly positioned for hiking, cycling and sight seeing. Henry & Penny are amazing hosts and we really appreciate that our dog Bobble is always welcomed too.

Very clean and cosy
Felt comfortable, all amenities included, enjoyed our stay in the holt and pet friendly too, had everything we needed, finally found how to switch the bathroom towel rail on which was located in the bedroom as nothing to say where the switch was located,area was splendid for walks and to travel to other places to visit, would highly recommend and will be coming again in the future

Fantabulosa !! - stop looking - start booking
Facilities were immaculate - all quality fixtures, fittings and accessories including the sofa bed and the foldup bad that I slept on. Great hosts giving accurate appraisals of local amenities and nothing was too much trouble (believe me when I say we DID test their helpfulness to the full extent possible) Have no hesitation of recommending to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

Excellent peaceful and relaxing apartment
All communication was good, clear instructions. Parking right outside ground floor apartment ( The Holt) so we were unloaded and settled very quickly. Easy to use app meant all info needed was at your fingertips. Well equipped, very comfortable bed with high quality bedding. Lovely stay, we would book again.

Return visitors
Third time staying at The Holt and the apartment looks as fresh as it did on the first visit. The location is perfect - less than 5-minute walk into the market square and set back enough from the road not to be disturbed. Kitchen very well equipped. Bed very comfortable. New shower is great - excellent pressure. There has never been anything that we've needed to ask for during our stay.

Will be back. Updated clean interiors. Close to town. Amazing views. Really nice friendly host!!
The Rooms are recently fully updated, new appliances and fixtures and furniture. There is an extra shared unisex toilet on site. Parking is a little tight but sufficient.
Very much appreciate the pet friendly accommodation. We are looking forward to going back.

The stay was was lovely to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
The apartment was immaculate and had everything needed for our stay . Henry and Penny had thought about everything .
Fantastic comfy bed , and roomy bedroom.
The location was ideal for visiting surrounding areas .
Leyburn with shops ect was only a short walk away .
