The sumptuous sitting room offers comfy sofas, a cosy log burner and lovely spiral stairs up to the first floor. The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes an induction range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer. There is also a boot room with WC downstairs.

Upstairs the bright, spacious bedroom has built-in wardrobes, a king-size bed and views over the Common. Next door, the decadent bathroom boasts a deep double-end bath, separate walk-in rainfall shower, and comes complete with bathrobes and slippers (please leave in the cottage on departure!). Outside you also have a good-sized private walled garden and half an acre of woodland. Genuinely one of the finest cosy cottages in Sussex, Mill Barn offers a perfect blend of warmth and luxury.

LOCAL AREA
Step out of the door and straight onto Chailey Common for plentiful walks across this pretty SSI landscape. Sheffield Park Gardens, the Bluebell Railway, Ridgeview Wine Estate and Bluebell Vineyards are all within a 10-minute drive. Further afield, head to Lewes and enjoy wandering the pretty centre of this historic market town, visit Brighton, or book early for Glyndebourne Opera.

- Pets: generally not allowed. However one small, well-behaved dog may be considered on advance request, at the owner's discretion. If the request is accepted, a dog will be charged at GBP30 per week or part week.

- Once you have placed your booking request, before we can process your booking we will require some simple additional details such as postal address, guest names and direct email. Please do not book if you are unable to provide this information, as we cannot offer a refund on this basis.
- Arrival and departure times are clearly stated. As our properties can be booked right up until the last minute, we are unable to confirm early check-in or late check-out requests until 24-72 hours prior to your arrival/departure. Should you prefer to guarantee any such request now, please add an additional night to the start and/or end of your booking.
- Accessibility: There is one step (15cm) to the front door threshold. Spiral staircase to the first floor. Other internal floors are level and even. This is intended as a guide only and accuracy is not guaranteed, please contact us if you need more info. Measurements are approx.

- 1 babe in arms (max 1 year old and not walking) is welcome. 1 travel cot (bedding provided) and 1 highchair available on advance request.
- The property has a spiral staircase to access the first floor and a wood burner which gets very hot, please bear this in mind if bringing an infant.
- Please note candles are not permitted at Mill Barn.
- Mill Barn is decorated for the Christmas season.
- Bathrobes and slippers provided (please leave in the cottage on departure!).
- Iron, ironing board, clothes airer and hairdryer provided.
- Logs are provided for reasonable use of the wood stove during your stay
- Fully enclosed garden with table and chairs, fire pit and BBQ (on request). There is also half an acre of private woodland for your use, adjacent to Mill Barn.
- Private yoga lessons can be arranged in the cottage or its tranquil garden, please contact us for details
- This property has an alarm, however it will be turned off before your arrival. If you would like to set it whilst you are out during your stay, please contact us or the owner.
- There are 2 parking spaces available on the private drive next to the cottage.
