Go Jump in the Lake!

NEWLY RENOVATED FOR THE 2023 SEASON! Our lake house is situated on 1.5 acres just 250 steps to the Cove Road boat launch on beautiful Amston Lake. The lake is a pristine 188-acre retreat located in Lebanon and Hebron, CT. Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, and sunbathing are all activities you can enjoy. There are no motor boats allowed, so you can enjoy all of those activities in a peaceful environment. Two beaches are located 1/2 or 1 mile away from the cottage with ample parking at both should you choose to drive.

The house is 850 square feet of pure cottage enjoyment. There are two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in one on the first floor, and a full and twin in the other upstairs. A sixth person could sleep on the sofa. There is one bathroom with a shower and a washer and dryer. There is a full kitchen and a gas grill for cooking. There is one HD Smart television with wifi. Our cottage is a nice mix of high end and rustic finishes, and it is clean and comfortable. It's a cottage, and it feels like a cottage with a bit of style, especially when you are sitting on the porch swing, enjoying a cold beverage, and reflecting on the day. Or sitting around the fire pit with friends and family, while sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. It feels like you are in the middle of the woods. We have a canoe and two kayaks for you to use, a few beach chairs, and some lawn games. Lebanon is a beautiful, rural community with several operating farms. Amston Lake is on the edge of the Airline Trail where you can enjoy hiking and biking for miles. The Connecticut casinos are about 30 minutes away. Outlet shopping is located at Foxwoods Casino or in Clinton and Westbrook. The CT and RI shore are 40-60 minutes away. New York and Boston are about 90 minutes away. We are close to so much, and yet you will feel like you are far away from it all. We hope you enjoy your stay!

House was cute and would be great for the summer trip to the lake! It was exactly what we needed! I do wish the fireplace had worked but unfortunately, it never stayed lit for more than a few minutes before it cut off. Aside from that, we loved it!

The pictures are accurate to the location, everything was clean and stocked with necessities. We ran out of toilet paper on the last morning and couldn't figure out where more was but we were leaving so it wasn't much of an issue. We could not figure out how to work the heating but the Host was very helpful and communicative with about it. We didn't go to the lake so I don't have any reviews for that but you cannot see it from the property. Overall it was a good time and a nice space!

Everything was great and very relaxing. Due to its location on a wooded property the climate of the house was very comfortable. When it was hot outside, it was comfortably cool inside (without ac) and vice versa. The screenshot porch was very relaxing and the house had a lot of items to use and good kitchen equipment. Furthermore Todd is very helpful host! The lake and the surrounding were very relaxing too. We were there with our teenage kids. For them the calm surrounding was a little boring (especially with the embarrassing parents ), but in general the whole family likes the place and we really recommend it for some relaxing days.

Nice time with family at the lake

Charming and comfortable property. Beautiful lake with choice of two excellent beaches. Hot water in unit was excellent. Very much enjoyed use of kayaks. Maybe needs a new grill, but there are decent restaurants nearby. I would recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Very clean, relaxing retreat!

We would have loved to stay in this house longer! And the host offered us another day but we were on a timeline! It was very cute, clean and very well stocked. The lake is not far from the house and it is very well kept. We made smores in the firepit and really enjoyed the family time here. The only small suggestion is the description is a bit misleading as the sofa is not a futon as listed. It all worked out for us, but could be an issue for someone that needs the futon. We had beautiful weather and ate every meal on the large screened porch! Very relaxing!

Great little spot to experience lake cottage living with modern furnishings. Lake life means might have a few bugs to deal with or low water pressure occasionally, but not an issue. Didn’t use the kayaks or canoe but that was only because our family owns a spot on the adjacent lake. The private lake access is comforting so you don’t have to worry about riff raff. Lollipop beach is super neat walkout. Owner provides some amenties which is very nice to have. Colchester town nearby has lots cool little spots to eat and checkout. We had a great little get away and would stay here again when we visit my family next year.

We like this place a lot. House was clean and Todd was very responsive to my questions. There are two bedrooms with one on the second floor. One thing we didn’t realize was, to get to the second floor there is a spiral staircase.

Second stay

This was our second stay at the cabin as a family of 5, and we loved it even more than our first visit! The yard and access to the lake and kayaks are huge highlights. The cabin is clean, well stocked, with comfortable sheets and beds. It was the perfect place for our fall get away!

Perfect hideaway!

Beautiful property and house - so quiet and peaceful! The stairs were too much for our old knees, but the downstairs bed/bedroom and living couch were very comfortable. Ammenties were great and host provided excellent instructions. Thank you!!
