"We stayed for one night on our way back from Rushmore on a road trip. Our plan was to stay next to the hot pools in Lava Hot Springs since we got online tickets to use that facility. The Riverside Inn is a historic property conveniently located with a friendly staff. It wears its age well but it is part of the experience. It doesn’t have elevator or luggage cart however the staff offered help with our bags which was very nice. Dave went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed in the property....

"Stayed in the deluxe Cottage & loved it. It was cute, clean, with kitchenette, bbq grill and fire pit. We used them all. "

"We had 8 adults and 12 children. The kids loved riding their scooters on the indoor floor. Kitchen was set up to feed everyone easily. We were lucky to get snow on our arrival however the two mini vans had a hard time making it up the snowy hill. Overall we had a great time. ggreat time "

"This was a perfect place. Cute, nice fenced yard for my dog, wonderful beds, great shower, and very cozy. Loved the colorful points inside the home. Creative decorations. It was very, very quiet during the day and at night and vey close to the hot springs. I highly recommend this place. There is nothing to not like about this place."
