In the heart of Hocking Hills, Idyll Reserve is a collection of 5 modern, sustainable and luxurious vacation cabins! This stunning private property features hiking trails, treetop views, caves, and beautiful cabins, each with its own distinct character and features.

The Hocking Hills region boasts some of the most unique and beautiful landscape in the Northeast. This stunning private property features walking trails, treetop views, cliffs and caves. The surrounding area includes state parks, national forests, hiking trails, caves, canoeing, adventure parks, zip-lining, rock climbing, horse trails, as well as year-round festivals, winery and brewery events. Idyll Reserve is minutes away from the area's main attractions.

The South Cabin and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 and 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind; a step-less ramp from parking to main entrance, a flat floor plan, and wide hallways and doors allow easier access. Please let us know directly if there are any other accommodations we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable.

The Cabin, the original cabin on the land was hand-built by the previous owner and lovingly renovated by the Idyll Reserve team, evolving into a beautiful and contemporary 3-bedroom 2-bath home. Features include a modern wood burning stove, games nook, a chef’s kitchen and entertainment space, a private TV den, and a full deck with outdoor dining and a large hot tub nestled in the treetops will make this cabin the ideal getaway for small and large families alike.

We recommend driving your own vehicle as ride-sharing and public transit are limited in our area. The driveway is gravel and offers parking space for 2 cars at each cabin. 2 complimentary EV chargers are located on the property and available for your use.

Cell coverage in the Hocking Hills region can be spotty. We recommend downloading the directions before heading out.

Propane for gas grill and firewood for outdoor fireplace provided. An espresso maker, pour-over, and drip coffee machine as well as premium coffee beans and ground coffee is provided. There is a pack-n-play with bedding, a high chair, children's dishes and utensils stored in each cabin. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Cabin and The Hillside Cabin (Idyll Reserve | 3 and 4).

We rang in the New Year at Idyll Reserve and loved it! The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. The fireplace, the kitchen, the bathrooms and beds, as well as the awesome coffee options. The location is perfect for all Hocking Hills activities. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back.

Luxury and fun for kids!

We stayed with two families and 3 kids. We loved having the two big bedrooms in the basement and extra play room! Such beautiful lodging! Our only suggestion is to install a shade to pull over the skylight in the top bedroom for the morning.

A beautiful cabin in a magnificent setting. The amenities were all there, from coffee to the game of corn hole. The sofa bed is in the room with the TV, so not especially convenient for someone who wants to retire early. All the sights are easily within reach, and there is even a nice little hike around the property.

Serene Luxury Cabin

The views from this cabin are breathtaking. Trees and sunlight everywhere. The cabin interior is both cozy and upscale in design. Even though there are guests around you in other cabins, this one feels private and secluded. Cabin 3 is a retreat. And we got to bring our dog with us to share the experience!

Blissful Winter Escape

We could not have asked for a better experience at "The Cabin." It was beautiful and the host had everything ready and stocked for us upon arrival. My family was able to explore the beautiful surroundings and then relax in the beautiful cabin. This is a must-have experience and we are already planning on returning multiple times in 2024. We look forward to making this a permanent Davies family tradition!

Perfect place to enjoy the beautiful fall weather, blue sky and sunshine, crisp nights. The cabins at Idyll Reserve are not your usual cabins. We came with friends (There were 3 couples)and our space had a cozy feel, but not cramped. Ours was well-appointed as far as kitchen and bath, with a great deck with a grill with a light for night! Another great feature was the communication between us and the hosts who were quick to respond to our questions. We've been here before and will come again as will the others who we introduced to the Idyll Reserve!

Luxury stay+beautiful nature!

We loved Idyll Reserve so much! We have always wanted to check out Hocking Hills, and after finding this place we knew it was the time to go. We stayed in the cabin/#3 because we brought our dogs. I am so grateful to have such a beautiful place to stay that allows dogs, so thank you for that! Everything about our stay was so comfortable. Amazing beds and linens, clean, beautiful and modern design, easy access for checkin, and SO close to all of the hikes in Hocking Hills. We really can’t wait to come back. The setting is so private and beautiful. Beautiful design, a comfortable space, and nature. What more could you ask for? Don’t hesitate to stay here!

The perfect retreat.

There isn’t a single miss about this cabin. We cooked every meal at “home”, and had zero need for anything. The record player, fireplace and fire pits, decor, cozy rooms, sky lights, books, games, trails, hot tub….every detail was thought of. I felt so relaxed and cozy, and being able to walk our dog through the trails right outside the door was amazing. Book your stay here, plan to unplug. Turn on the record player , add the miles Davis and sip wine while you cook and watch the sunset enough the trees :)

Perfect Getaway

I’ve been wanting to stay at one of the Idyll properties since they opened and we finally found an opening last minute before Christmas. We have a 2 year old and a newborn but wanted an easy getaway for a couple of days. This trip was perfect and I love that the Cabin is dog friendly so our dog could come too. We cooked, hiked, played games by the fire and had an amazing winter getaway. Laura was also such a helpful host and answered all of my questions promptly. Since the place comes with a pack n play that was one less thing we had to worry about packing! We will definitely be back!
