Park in the Woods Cozy and clean. Shared Hot Tub, pets, peaceful

  • We have a sweet retreat. A home, surrounded by woods on 5 acres, creating a secluded haven; yet only 10 minutes from Lapeer.

    You will have a 1-bedroom suite with a private entrance and fully stocked kitchen. Come and make yourself at home!

    A long driveway through the woods, takes you into clearing, where you can experience the great outdoors year-round. It is park-like with lots of wildlife.

    Enjoy campfires – we supply the wood and fire starters!
    The space
    We can sleep up to 4 in our walkout basement, using a queen bed in the bedroom, and air mattresses or sofa in living room.

    There is a electric fireplace for warmth and ambiance.

    The kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances - fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. There is even a waffle iron and a small crockpot.

    We live upstairs and are available most of the time if you need anything.

    The City of Lapeer is a quaint rural city called the Gateway to the Thumb. There is a Town Square, Farmers Market on Saturday and Wednesday and many unique shops and restaurants.

    When Lapeer International Dragway is running, it is noisy.
    As my special needs son said “SOMEBODY'S having some FUN!”
    Other things to note
    The thermometer is controlled upstairs. If you want more air conditioning or heat, you can open the vents in the ceiling. (in bedroom and dining room)

    Summer- we have a fan in the bedroom closet.
    Winter- we have an electric fireplace, and a space heater in the closet.

    Also we have extra throws to cuddle up in. The temperature has never been a problem, but we want to be sure you are comfortable, so please let us know!

Wonderful place to stay! Property is quiet and relaxing. Close to town and entertainment. Owners responded promptly and were so friendly! Would definitely recommend and we would love to come back.

This was different to stay in the basement of someone’s house. But I will say for just me and my husband it was so perfect. We were impressed by how well they utilized the space and had everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend this property!

It was a great stay. Deb is very good communicating if you need anything or have any questions. The place is definitely a home away from home. Has all the essentials you will need including a washer and dryer! Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place

Very clean! Very cozy and the property is so nice! Had coffee with deer and it was so tranquil. My boys enjoyed the hot tub also! I loved having the coffee supplied. It was so nice. Highly recommend this place.

We did not get to use a lot of the property amenities that were available, but the property itself is absolutely gorgeous. Deb is an incredibly communicative and kind hostess. The unit itself is clean, quiet and comfortable. We were happy to have this property available for our stay.

The place was very clean, very accommodating to all of my needs very cozy, private up-to-date, and very welcoming the drive to the woods were very scenic and beautiful. The hot tub was wonderful. I like the curtains to give us privacy if needed. I give it 10 stars all across the board.

Great Getaway

We had a family reunion in Attica and decided to rent a VRBO instead of cramming into the house the family got. It was a great decision, very clean and comfortable and communication was great with the owner, Thanks!

Amazing! Perfect home away from home!

This rental was great! The property was beautiful and close enough to basic stores. Perfect get away. The races were even going on while we were there and it was barely noticeable.

No contact option getaway

Great place. Could not be happier. Work trip but looking to avoid hotels and restaurants due to pandemic. Loved cooking for myself. The property was beautiful privet. Saw 2 shooting stars. Will be back if working in lapeer again.
