Secluded and Private Cabin with Amazing Views. Hot tub and WiFi.

  • Riverwood Retreat is a secluded cabin that sits atop a 300 foot cliff overlooking a horseshoe bend in the New River with breathtaking long range views. Inside, the cabin comfortably accommodates four people with a King Bedroom and attached full bath and a Queen bedroom with an adjacent full bath. The cabin will allow for up to eight people total with a pull-out sofa bed and futon in the living area. The cabin has a large living area with a gas fireplace, full kitchen and washer and dryer. Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player and Bluetooth Stereo are all provided.

    Outside, enjoy the large wrap around deck, listen to the river rapids from below and experience views from the hot tub that you will never forget. A gas and charcoal grill is provided along with propane and grilling utensils. Access to the New River allows for easy swimming, tubing, fishing and kayaking. Up above the cabin is a fire pit and firewood.
    You will feel a thousand miles away from it all but still only fifteen minutes from downtown West Jefferson with its welcoming small-town atmosphere, multiple shops, restaurants and bars, and multiple grocery stores nearby. Less than one hour from Boone.

This cabin is appointed with just everything you need to enjoy a short or long stay. Cozy fireplace, amazing views from the deck, and a perfect size.

The cabin setting was magical, perched on a ledge overlooking the river. Sunsets from the deck (and the hot tub) were spectacular. The cabin itself was beautiful as well. Access to the cabin was easy and the location (less than 20 minutes from the very cute town of West Jefferson and 30 minutes from hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park) was perfect for us. Our host, Brian, was on top of things, quickly answering my last minute questions. We will definitely return.

Everything as advertised. The home interior was well maintained, clean, everything functional, and well stocked. Only 2 humans on this trip but the place is plenty big enough for a family of 4 and a dog. The outdoor space provided the real "wow". The porch, grill, fire pit, and amazing hot tub were all ideal. And the view... the view down into the river valley and across the rolling mountains was just beyond words. A cabin. Thanks for having us!

Loved the secluded private cabin. Views were stunning from the wonderful deck. It was peaceful and a refreshing week away. The cabin was furnished well and the kitchen had all we needed to cook the little we did. Very nice grill that we took advantage of. Loved the fireplace!! Would highly recommend this cabin. The Host was very attentive and wonderful to work with.

The views were amazing; the sound of the rush of the water in the river below was very soothing. The cabin was cozy and perfect for a couple looking to escape for a while. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time at this property and we absolutely love it! The view is honestly just mind blowing, and the tranquility and relaxation is Heaven! Excellent Stay

We had a great extended weekend at this property! It was very clean and well equipped with all of the basics that we needed during our stay. The hot tub was wonderful and offered beautiful views. Definitely recommend this property for couples or families!

The house was just as described except that the views were even more spectacular in person. The bed was comfy, the showers had great water pressure, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The hot tub was icing on the cake. We loved it and will likely stay again sometime. Can’t recommend highly enough! Also, Lansing is adorable.

Great Cabin

My wife and I absolutely loved staying here. The property owner was very nice and helpful during our visit and immediately replied to our questions that we had. The cabin and view was exactly as described, and we would love to stay here again.

Beautiful View

Exactly as described secluded but easy to find, peaceful & quiet just as we wanted. We had a great time sitting on the porch, the view is beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

Spectacular Views

Great place to stay and unwind. Sunset views incredible. Hot tub was spot on for limbering up to start the day & winding down at the end.
