Hidden Heaven lake house. Quiet private cottage on 1 acre

Decorated with wildlife decor, this cottage gives you the relaxation and comfort of a peaceful vacation! Fully equipped, all you need to bring is food and clothes. All rooms have satellite TV and DVD players. Relax watching the sunset on the spacious deck while grilling. 2 bedrooms (K&Q), sleep sofa, and air mattress if needed. 2 docks (Boat lift used by owner) Enjoy the day on one of the 10 kayaks or 5-person pedal boat available (life jackets provided). All water activities are at your OWN RISK. Owners will not be responsible for any accidents. 3 adult bicycles available.
Corn hole boards for outdoor fun by the concrete firepit! Located on Johnsons creek on the Chickahominy Lake.
WIFI is available at no extra charge. Sometimes depending on weather Wi-Fi could be spotty. Guests are responsible for the portable router. If lost or damaged, there will be a $200 charge for the device. Due to travelers with allergies this is a pet free home, No exceptions.

Peaceful escape with easy access to history

The property was located central to numerous Civil War battlefields and sites we wanted to visit during our week long vacation this summer. The location allowed day trips to Richmond, Fort Monroe, and Petersburg while offering a peaceful retreat to play board games, kayak or go fishing after a busy day.

Amazing get away

We came here to relax and fish. Joyce and Eric have been the most accommodating hosts that I have ever run across. I felt like we were all family. ☺️. The property was perfect and incredibly peaceful. I would give them a 10 star rating if possible. Cannot wait to return next year

The Big Secret Of Lanexa, VA

Ever find a nice, relaxing place and hope to keep it for yourself? Maybe it was a quiet spot in the mountains or a secluded spot on the beach. That was our feeling with this home on the lake. It was quiet and peaceful. The home was clean and had everything we needed. It’s a short drive from the concrete jungle which is Williamsburg. Actually, Williamsburg is a nice town, but that is a review for another day. (I was using hyperbole for contrast.) The owner was excellent to deal with and I can’t say enough about how we enjoyed everything about this home. Go and have a good time.

A relaxing stay

The cottage was very nicely appointed, cozy and clean. We enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit and the quiet surroundings. We checked out Williamsburg and Fort Monroe which are easy drives. Our stay was just what we needed.

Excellent cottage

39th Wedding Anniversary get away

Our stay was amazing . The cottage was beautifully decorated and cleanliness was spotless !! The owner Joyce was wonderful . The setting couldn’t have been more relaxing and romantic with the cottage overlooking the lake . We had a wonderful time and have recommended it to 4 other people already . Perfect getaway

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! It had everything you need to just show up and relax! Kitchen fully stocked, bathroom stocked with toiletries (including razors!), comfortable beds, DVDs and board games for the kids! We enjoyed the firewood provided for a fire in the firepit outside as well as the wood stove inside. The lake was frozen when we were there so no fishing or using the boats provided on this trip, BUT WE WILL BE BACK! Our host was incredibly gracious and always available!

Truly a hidden heaven

I cannot say enough positive things about this property. It was so extremely comfortable and the mere feet away lake front was breathtaking at dusk and dawn. It was so well stocked with anything needed I was gob-smacked. If we stay anywhere close to this area again we will most definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Just as great as advertised!

The house was immaculate and the extra touches were very much appreciated. The view is so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the nostalgic ad signage in the kitchen and the comfort and decoration of the home.
