Modern country cottage that is dog friendly with a fenced-in yard.

As approaching this country cottage the modern styling will evoke memories of the '60's with a current twist. Entering the front door you step in to an open concept design of living, dining, and kitchen. Relax on the leather sofa to watch TV w/ digital antennae, watch a DVD, listen to music on the retro-style AM-FM radio, read a book, or enjoy the view out the large picture window of nature and farm animals. WIFI allows you to stay connected. Enjoy cooking in the modern kitchen w/ glass-top electric range, retro looking microwave, full size refrigerator, and dishwasher. The cabinets are fully stocked with equipment to cook and enjoy your meals. Dine at the 51" custom cherry live edge table with seating for 2. The bedroom is comfortably appointed with a queen size bed, large dresser, ample closet space, ceiling fan, Edison-style lamp on the bedside table, flat screen TV, and a lineal electric fireplace. Modern bathroom w/ curbless shower, comfort height toilet, and floating vanity. Laundry located in enclosed closet. Stepping out the rear door you enter the screened-in porch w/ dining area, access to parking and fenced-in yard, grill deck, and gas fire pit with seating to enjoy your time. For the months of April- October (temperatures permitting) you may use the outdoor tiled shower for 2 in complete privacy looking up at the aerial view. We welcome your dog with bowls, sofa cover, and natural treats. Maximum weight for your dog is 30#. Only 2 dogs are allowed with a $125 fee for one and $125 for the second one. Send information for approval. We do require that you cleanup after your dog and and attend to them outdoors. Please note that our home does not accommodate children.
Our home is convenient to Route 30 & 283 to travel easily to Columbia ,Lancaster City, Amish country ,covered bridges, Gettysburg, Hershey and day trips to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, or NYC.

This is one of my all time favorite places that I've stayed at. The property is lovely, the house is unique and beautiful, and the extras like eggs, flowers and scones were such a wonderful treat.

Fabulous stay!

We had the most wonderful visit! The cottage was adorable and nestled on beautiful farm land. It exceeded all of our expectations! Our hosts were absolutely delightful and provided all of the comforts of home… and more! (including farm fresh eggs and the most delicious homemade blueberry scones). When the property listing says it is pet friendly, they weren’t kidding! The host provided a sofa cover, dog bowls, and grain free treats for our dog Lily. It was the perfect vacation spot and we look forward to our next visit.Thank you so much, Carol!

Great Rental

Rental was extremely clean & well furnished. Wonderful view. Thoughtful touches like fresh eggs, freshly baked blueberry scones, fresh flowers, candy & even dog treats. The fenced in yard for our dog was greatly appreciated. Our dog found the chickens, rosters, emus & burros very interesting. The property is very well maintained & the owners are close by but give you privacy. Highly recommend.

peaceful and quiet

cottage was amazing ! as were the scones . we enjoyed everything about our accomodations and exploring the area . our hosts were available but not intrusive, we enjoyed our privacy but knew our needs would be answered. we definitely will be returning!

Totally Awesome

Carol and Pete are the consummate hosts! This cottage is pristine- looking like no one has ever stayed here before us. The fresh blueberry scones, farm fresh eggs, and treats for our dog welcomed us. The kitchen is better stocked than ours at home with high quality dishes, glassware, and all the tools you need. Even the coffee was delicious!

The property was as described. It had everything that you could ever need. The kitchen was stocked plus the wonderful owners made is homemade scones and provided fresh eggs and homemade dog treats and dogs bowls to make our pets feel at home. It was the sweetest gesture. We enjoyed our stay.

Our 3rd Stay

My husband and I had another wonderful stay on Carol's property in May. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when we are in the area. From the moment of our arrival, we are welcomed by Carol and her delicious scones and fresh eggs from her chickens. We feel relaxed as soon as we open the door. The only disappointment we experienced was having to leave! We can't wait for our next visit!

This was our second visit to one of their properties and we will be back again. Carol and Pete are the most gracious hosts that you will find and their property is impeccably clean, tasteful and beautiful. I told her I was ready to move in for good! Country Cozy Cool

This gem of a property delighted us! Wonderful country setting and our cottage was just right! Very well appointed and super clean….farm fresh eggs in the fridge and warm scones upon our arrival. My husband really enjoyed the outdoor shower( great indoor shower also). So fortunate to have clear skies and a full moon to enjoy off the back porch and small yard. The hosts are so wonderful and welcoming and yet offer such privacy too. 12 nights and it was a home away from home!
