Cozy Lakefront Cabin Getaway - Enjoy Eagle Viewing, Fishing and Kayaking

Find your Northwoods get-away on the shores of Horsehead Lake in Lake Tomahawk! This seasonal 2-bed, 1-bath cabin is a cozy retreat with a spacious deck right along the scenic lake frontage. This 2-acre tree lined lot provides a peaceful location for your stay and offers direct lake access to full a 347-acre rec lake, a dock with frontage for swimming / kayaking and a large fire-pit area to enjoy the evening’s activities.

This quaint cabin has an open concept kitchen/living/dining area with two private bedrooms and one bathroom. Central air will help keep you comfortable during those hazy summer nights or the gas furnace to take the chill off in the fall mornings. A wood burning stove will keep the place warm and cozy as well.

You could not ask for a more peaceful get-away – Imagine sipping your morning coffee on the large wrap around deck or hearing the call of the eagles in the evenings while you roast marshmallows by the fire. Horsehead Lake gives has the full rec lake experience, yet the quiet bay provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the day’s water sports fun.

This retreat is best for a couple or small family looking for a quiet experience on the water yet close to town. This is a great location for fishing, kayaking or canoeing.

Great location, 15-20 minutes from many tourist areas. Extremely quiet. Campground next door and felt like we were alone. Beds comfy, kitchen well stocked with dishes. We took our two twins and despite the small space they had plenty of room to relax in the rainy day. Wifi only supports one device at a time, which I loved.

Nice cabin with lovely outdoor spaces with good views of the lake. The cabin has forest on two sides and the lake in front so there is some privacy. The deck sits directly above the water so if you like lake views this is lovely. There is table and chairs on the deck and more chairs around the fire pit. There is a private dock with chairs also. We had hoped to use the canoe provided but it rained almost every day so we were glad to have a cozy cabin to enjoy. Everything you need in the cabin is provided and is very clean.

Wonderful Stay on Horsehead Lake

I'm excited to leave the first review for this rental! My partner and our two year old son spent three nights here on our way up to the UP, and couldn't have enjoyed the property more. The cabin is incredibly clean, cozy, and quaint. We could tell a lot of thought was put into it by the owner. The deck being almost over the lake and providing a wonderful view and sitting area was my favorite part. We also enjoyed the firepit and the fact that you could be sitting at the fire and have a view of the lake. We did some fishing from the pier and caught some bullhead and panfish. My son and I also spent the better part of an afternoon swinging in a hammock and watching the eagles who were nesting just adjacent to the property. No joke the eagle viewing here was amazing. A few important things to note: -Shower was hot and soap/shampoo/conditioner are provided. Towels were clean. -We did use the A/C for one day, and it worked great. -Beds were very comfortable. -Internet worked great (I had to work a little bit and even took a Zoom call from the deck with no issues). -Proximity to Minocqua was great (like 10-15 minute drive). The only thing I think it's worth pointing out in this review is that the south side of the property is fairly open to another rental, so you'll see them a little bit especially on the driveway and down by the pier. But it's much more private on the deck. Tracy was wonderful in terms of communications, and we would certainly stay here again!

Cute cabin for a family stay!

Had a great visit with the family here. A great amount of things were provided including dishes, shampoo/conditioner, grill, fire pit, use of their canoes/kayaks. Loads of movies to choose from for rainy days. Cabin was comfortable for 5 people.
