Beautiful South Lake Tahoe Meadow View Chalet. Dog Friendly. AC

Meadow View is a recently renovated and well-appointed three-bedroom, two-bathroom chalet on a level lot. It includes a sizable but cozy loft and a two-car garage.
Air Conditioning was installed in 2022.

The property comfortably sleeps six adults, and nearly every window offers unobstructed views of the beautiful meadow or forest. Surrounded by Forest Service or Conservancy lands on both sides, this home is a peaceful getaway, perfect for families and friends.

This is NOT a party house. It is a family neighborhood with full-time residents. Noise travels across the meadow and can disturb residents. We have a strict noise and light policy (10 pm to 8 am) out of respect for our neighbors and El Dorado County regulations.

The first floor has a kitchen planned for guests who enjoy cooking; the kitchen is well-equipped. The kitchen is open, and the cook is not isolated from other guests. The dining area has a large table that seats eight. The living area features a gas-burning fireplace, a flat-screen TV, vaulted ceilings, and stunning views of the vast open meadow. There are two bedrooms, a fully renovated bathroom, and a laundry area with a newly installed large-capacity washer and dryer. The cabin has a tankless water heater for endless hot water!

Upstairs, you will find an open-beam ceiling, a large bedroom with a small balcony, a bathroom, a loft area with stunning views, comfortable seating, a pull-out queen bed, a flat-screen TV, and an open space with plenty of room to lounge or play.
The back deck opens to our beautiful meadow with miles of hiking and biking trails nearby.
During the summer months, enjoy using the Weber gas grill and outdoor furniture.


Located off Pioneer Trail, this home is a short drive from everything. In the winter, world-class skiing is 10 minutes away at Heavenly Ski Resort. In warmer months, enjoy some of Tahoe’s best beaches just a short drive away. Our favorite, Kiva Beach, is a dog-friendly beach with free parking and a stunning view of Mt Tallac. Head to the Beacon Bar and Grill for lakeside live music and their famous “Rum Runner.” There are four golf courses within a 20-minute drive of the cabin. For year-round fun, Stateline is 6 miles away. At Stateline, you will find many restaurants, bars, shops, and casinos.

The town of Meyers is only a few minutes down the road. There you will find our fantastic local grocery store, Holiday Market, two golf courses, local restaurants, and endless hiking and biking trails.

We really appreciated our stay and want to start by saying the space itself is beautiful. The property is very private and peaceful, the fireplace was wonderful, and the heat/AC worked great. The water pressure was excellent and the kitchen was nicely set up and mostly well stocked with what we needed. Overall, we enjoyed being there.The main area for improvement would be host presence and overall property upkeep. The home felt a bit unattended at times. There was leftover trash in the outdoor bins from previous guests, which unfortunately attracted a bear on our first night. A bear got into the trash and created a mess on the property, which was obviously out of our control but stressful to deal with. Ensuring trash is fully cleared between guests would make a big difference, especially in a wildlife-prone area.We also noticed some general maintenance items that, if addressed, would elevate the experience to match the price point — some cobwebs and areas where cleanliness could be improved, a sign hanging unscrewed from the house, and a broken garage door. None of these individually ruined our stay, but together they contributed to the property feeling a little less cared for than expected.

Meadow View was as described and met all our expectations. It is clean, well stocked and instructions are clear. Melinda was very responsive to our messages and provided suggestions when we asked her about local activities. She is very accommodating and was a great hostess!! It has a big meadow out back and no neighbor on one side so it feels very spacious. We will recommend it to friends and if we go back we will definitely stay there again.

Very nice property .hard to find 3bd pet friendly property.Host was great and allowed us an early check in.On the downside downstairs bath has no seperation from washer/dryer and water heater. (Even a curtain would help)Found mouse droppings Couch and two chairs in living room desperately need cleaning. I tried spot cleaning but needs a pro job.Nice having a garage but winter has taken its toll.A lot of loose concrete.Lastly door exiting upstairs bedroom to garage roof should not be usable by guests (could be hazardous for children.Comments meant to be constructive not critical. Family Comfort

We enjoyed the location off of Pioneer Trail. It was a convenient distance to grocery market, Heavenly Village shops, hiking and beaches within 10-25 miniutes away. It felt like a comfortable cozy home away from home in the mountains. We had plenty of room for our family to connect with each other and retreat to rest for a nap. We were able to make family meals with ease, while doing a load of laundry as needed. We would definitely like to book this again. I would recommend this vacation rental to friends and family.

Tahoe wedding trip

Cabin was just as described. Cute a-frame on a beautiful meadow. The cabin is nicely decorated and the kitchen is stocked with all the basics needed to cook meals if you wanted too. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood it feels secluded but is just minutes away from the lake and shopping or dining. We were in Tahoe for a wedding and enjoyed our stay very much.

Best Place

We have stayed in many short term rentals and this has been the best place for us. Melinda was very responsive and her place had an open floor plan allowing our family of 6 adults and two dogs to gather comfortably with full view of the lush meadow in the back of the house. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our family likes to cook and we love that the kitchen had everything we needed including sharp kitchen knives. The extra touches of having tissue boxes around the house and make up removers and mosquito repellent wipes in the bathrooms felt like we were staying at a nice hotel but with all the comforts of home. You can tell there was much thought given to make you feel welcome and taken care of. The house is also within short driving distance to hikes, a great dog beach, the marina for water activities and good eateries. We highly recommend this beautiful home and would stay here again.

We had a great time staying here. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own space when they needed some alone time. The kitchen had everything we needed. We arrived the day before the snowstorm. We walked the trails behind the property before the snow and ran into several locals who were very friendly. The streets were plowed everyday and the driveway was plowed once while we were there. The parking inside the garage was very useful during the storm to prevent our cars from being snowed over. The fireplace actually warmed the living room area very well and the heater throughout the house worked great. Melinda was quick to respond to all of our questions. I highly recommend staying here!

Our View of Meadowview

My brothers and I stayed at Meadowview. We enjoyed it very much. There's room to sleep 8 (4 couples), including the upstairs loft. The downstairs and kitchen are spacious. We used the kitchen everyday. The kitchen is well equipped. The place is close to Heavenly, Stateline and the west side of Tahoe are close by. Overall, we had a great view of Meadowview.
