"Location is private, and its feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere but town is 5 minutes away. Precut and organized fire wood made making a campfire a breeze. Hosts seemed to want to make sure you have everything you may need. Amazing place!"

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Francis House! The house housed 8 comfortably with plenty of interesting rooms for the kids (and adults) to explore, a great yard, and stocked firepit. The location couldn't have been better, minutes from downtown Ontonagon, right down the street from groceries/gas, and smack dab in the middle of all the hiking, beaches, and waterfalls you could ask for."

"Very cute & clean property with GREAT walking access to Lake Superior. Only snags were ants in food cupboard and leaking ceiling in main floor bathroom. Notified property mgr of both issues and they apologized, offered to remedy the ant problem immediately and ultimately refunded part of our stay. Would definitely stay here again if the snags were fixed. Property mgr very easy to access & work with."

"The toilet and shower weren’t clean upon arrival, which makes me doubt the extent of the cleaning throughout the house. Not an ideal concern to have for a property."

"Perfect location between Ontonagan and the porcupine mtns. It was the perfect place to relax after hiking all day or visiting town. We also had a great time looking for yooperlites, unfortunatley we didnt find any but there is always next time!"

"My son, daughter in law and I go on a hiking trip in the UP every year. This year we selected the Porcupine Mountains. I selected the Oar’Asis cabin for our home base - perfect size, location and price. We were not disappointed - the cabin is absolutely adorable. Our hostess, Heidi, left the door open & lights on for our arrival, which was a bit late in the day. The clean, comfortable beds felt great after a day of traveling. In the morning Heidi greeted us with a pan of delicious blueberry...

"House was beautiful and full of little surprise amenities. My wife and I traveled up to the UP for a few days of hiking with our toddler. The location of the house is fairly close to the trailheads, and right on the lake. Jay was extremely easy to communicate with inside the Vrbo app, and we had no issues finding the house or anything in the property. Check-in/out was seemless with very little for us to truly take care of compared to other Vrbos we have stayed at. Jay also gave us some hiking...

"We had a great time! The house was lovely! We’d have loved some more storage (there weren’t any hangers or shelves/dressers. We also would have loved a pantry space to put our food for the week. That said, we loved it so much we already booked for next year! The location and layout of the property and house were just too awesome! Can’t wait for next year!!"
