We’ve put the finishing touches on a full renovation of this beautiful turn of the century home. ADK Mountain House is an open concept floor plan with 10' ceilings, some rustic and some industrial decor for the perfect design and feel.

Features ample parking & incredible views.

Enjoy the classic charm of this beautiful 1896 home with all the modern comforts you desire, newly renovated from top to bottom. You'll love the brand new appliances, double of everything in the gourmet kitchen to accommodate large groups! Well appointed furnishings, brand new bathrooms and hardwood floors throughout the house. The enclosed porch is the perfect spot to start your day with that first cup of coffee. Send the kids out back to play in Teddy Bear Park, just steps away. You won't ever want to leave ADK Mountain House!

EIGHT bedrooms and FIVE bathrooms allow you and your guests to spread out as needed. The open concept 1st floor is the perfect place when you are ready to gather! (Be sure to check out the floor plans at the end of the photo deck)

Local laws only allow hosts to advertise up to # bedrooms (8) x 2 + 2 = 18 total guests (for this property), but you can see from the floor plans more can be clearly be accommodated...

Would have liked a couple more tables for puzzles and games for maybe 4-6 people. We had to squeeze 3 more chairs around the table in order to eat together at dinner. (13 of us.). Otherwise, everything was fine. Never had double appliances in one room before, so that was great. The corner of the kitchen with stove, both refrigerators, dishwasher, sink and small counter area certainly got a workout! Got a kick out of all your Adirondack/Lake Placid decorations for sure. It was a fun week for everyone. You ordered perfect weather for us too!Thanks for allowing this great house to be shared by so many people.Min a rental before

Best House for a Large Group

This home was beyond our expectations. The hosts were responsive and communicated well. They responded quickly with all of our questions and even offered suggestions of things to do and places to eat for our group. If we had questions that popped up once we got to the house, they responded quickly. The photos online do not do this home justice, there is so much room. With 7 families in the house, we were worried we could be cramped, there was plenty of room to stretch out, play, gather and even get away from each other from time to time. The area the home is located in is perfect. You are just a few minute walk into town for shopping, dining and activities. We loved this home and will ear mark it for future visits to Lake Placid. Thank you to Tom and Emily for a fantastic weekend!

Great home and location

We spent 4 nights in this fantastic home. It had everything we needed for our group of 18. The double refrigerator, stove and washer/dryers were an extra luxury. The location can’t be beat. You can see Main Street from the house.

Perfect winter weekend

Tom told me to prepare to be wowed, but it’s so much more than wow!! This house is truly amazing!! It was absolutely perfect for our family of 18. Nine adults and nine grandkids ages 1-8. Two of every appliance made cooking and cleaning up a breeze. Ample everything from dishes and silverware to garbage bags, cleaning supplies and off street parking. Beds galore and very comfortable!! Lots and lots of room for everyone!! Perfect central location to everything in town with a playground right next door. Perfect spot to build a snowman with the kids!! This will be our go to property for future Lake Placid trips!!

Great family reunion home

It was great - accommodation were ok- I suggested a new king mattress, we added a few small kitchen implements- overall our kids and grands skied almost everyday- as well as shopped through town . Super location- central to everything ! All of us had a blast! I had a TIA, so spent a couple of nights in the hospital and found for a rural area it was fabulous! Would recommend this home to any family, it was great!

Great Group Location

Great location to stay with a large group. The proximity to town is unbeatable; a quick and easy walk to the heart of Main Street. Plenty of rooms and beds with space for a group to spread out. The large kitchen with its double appliances was an added bonus with ample room for food storage and meal preps. Hosts were excellent. Quick communications and accommodating to requests with added insights on what to do and where to visit.

Fantastic stay in Lake Placid

Tom and Emily were great to work with. The house was as advertised for a large group of us in town for the Ironman race. We had plenty of space to be together but separate if needed and there were 17 of us! Every thing we needed was onsite and in great condition. We had a few needs that Emily took care of immediatly. The location to all things Lake Placid was perfect; we loved the games, the large Connect 4 turned into a whole house competition one night! Great house and wonderful experience, I would definitely recommend for a group! Thank you!

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our trip to this vacation home so much! It had everhthing our family of 17 (ages 3-94) needed! Two dishwashers, two ovens, two refrigerators, two washers, two dryers! Everyone had plenty of room to spread out; the kids enjoyed the enclosed porch with the games and puzzles provided. I especially appreciated the extra hand bars in the shower on the first floor for my 94 year old Dad. The location is perfect for a visit to Lake Placid. Family walked the short distance to Main Street multiple times a day, enjoying the beach, kayaking, restaurants and, of course, ice cream! The weather was perfect! For the first time in traveling together for thirty years, the family hopes to come back to stay here next year! That really says something about the perfectness of this property! Perfect for a large group, excellent location

This house was perfect for our large group of friends. Everyone was comfortable in their own spaces yet we still had space to be together in the well-equipped kitchen. We cooked all of our dinners here and had plenty of space in the 2 refrigerator(our kids now want 2 at our own home). The location couldn’t be better. We could easily walk into town and Whiteface was less than a 30 minute drive.

Amazing House Right in Town

After organizing a skip trip for 15 years at 14 different properties, I can easily say that this is the only place that far exceeded our expectations on the VRBO listing. The house was a block off the main street in Lake Placid, which made the entire experience so much more convenient. The house was set up absolutely perfectly - lots of bedrooms and beds, large communal spaces, and a kitchen perfectly equipped for a large group with 2 of every appliance. The host was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. Really can't say enough about how great our experience was here. Looking forward to coming back.

Great house for a big group

We were 11 people for a family Christmas gathering and everyone loved the house! The kitchen worked great for big meals and the layout was ideal for our big group. We walked to great restaurants, shops, ice skating, and Olympic sites. Tom was great to work with. Can’t wait to come back!!

Family vacation

The location was terrific, one block from Main Street and centrally located to everything we wanted to do. With a playground literally outside the back door, it couldn’t have been better situated for our family. The spaciousness of the house was incredible and responsiveness of the hosts absolutely top-notch!
