Relax, you've discovered your secluded winter wonderland here at Idlehour.

  • Disfruta de la paz y la tranquilidad de esta preciosa casita de campo. Observa a los pájaros y la fauna. Acércate a Hidden Valley para esquiar o trae tus trineos para deslizarte por las pistas acondicionadas. Haz un breve trayecto en coche hasta Huntsville, Dwight o el Parque Algonquin. El Arrowhead Park ofrece unas condiciones increíbles para patinar.

    Enciende la chimenea de arriba (te proporcionamos la leña), acurrúcate, ve una película, haz un rompecabezas o juega a algún juego de mesa. Dispones de internet, televisión por satélite y barbacoa con propano.

    3 dormitorios con camas queen. El sótano tiene una chimenea de propano, dardos y es el lugar perfecto para que los niños jueguen y vean películas. Hay 2 camas individuales en la planta baja. La cocina está totalmente equipada con encimeras nuevas.

Spacious cottage with well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a book, beer or glass of wine while enjoying the view of the lake. Close to beautiful Algonquin Park for hikes and walks and close to Huntsville for a meal out or some shopping.

Our recent stay at Idlehour was, without a doubt, the best ever: the cottage was neat and clean, the kitchen well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. We particularly loved the screened-in porch that kept the cottage cool during the day and provided us with a great outdoor-dining experience in the evenings (e.g., no bugs)! The cottage's location on the south shore was ideally situated with beautiful views of Peninsula Lake, stunning sunsets and hours of leisurely canoeing.Steve is an exceptional host who quickly answered any questions we had and was eager to ensure that we had a worry-free, relaxing time at Idlehour.

Great spot for the whole family. Views of the lake by the cozy fire meant we were never sad when the weather wasn't behaving. One of the most responsive hosts I have ever dealt with.

This is a BEAUTIFUL spot! The whole property is lovely. The cottage is very clean and cozy, the stonework is gorgeous, dock is new and sturdy. Fully equipped kitchen. There is an easily accessible boat launch-very handy. We were easily able to contact the owner if we had any questions. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stay. And, Huntsville is so interesting! Thank you!

This was my second visit to Idlehour, and the property has only gotten better. I cannot stress enough just how good a deal this property is, so much space and a very nice and thoughtful host to top it off.Stop looking at other properties in the area, you're not gonna find a better place and host than this in the entire region!

Wonderful spring stay

We had a great stay, and will definitely be back. The cottage is in a beautiful location, is large and comfortable with two fireplaces, and it is close to hiking, towns, restaurants, and anything else you could want.

The property was amazing, and Steve was extremely friendly, organized, and helpful. The cottage was clean, and had lovely spaces and views. The view of the lake was gorgeous.

The view is incredible. The cottage is charming, especially when the wood fireplace is roaring. There were lots of games to play, the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and pots and pans. Steve was great to communicate with. Bring hand towels and as well as bath towels.

Our stay was so serene and peaceful. Idle house has a beautiful view of the lake and there were lots of areas to sit outside. We loved the dock and screened in patio. We saw butterflies, ducks and deer. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils, and there was a good selection of basics (oil, spices) that helped. It was very quiet (which was great for us) and close to town. The bedrooms were comfortable, we brought our own sheets/towels but the quilts are provided. There was a small beach just a quick walk down the road, but it was also easy to walk into the water beside the dock. The dock was lovely, and the sun hit early in the morning and later in the afternoon, which is perfect for hot days. Steve was very responsive and gave excellent directions to find the Idle house, and was very inclined to ensure we enjoyed our stay!
