Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

Welcome to All Decked Out by Carolina Properties, where luxury meets comfort! Charmingly appointed exterior and grounds, the photo of the fairytale nighttime walkway will likely sell you on this home as you imagine idyllic summer days with family fun on auto-pilot and relaxing, inspiring evenings outside by the fire pit. All Decked Out is positioned as the last home before you reach a wooded cul-de-sac.

Enter the spacious foyer, and you'll immediately feel the breadth of this home, which makes it ideal for groups of up to ten. There is a formal living room with sophisticated seating around the television and gas-log fireplace on the main floor with kitchen bar seating directly behind, and dining room table seating adjacent; a central zone allows for the ideal social setting, the ability to mingle with a sense of togetherness. Sleeping options on this level include a lake-view master bedroom with a king-size bed, a queen-size bedroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds.

Tucked away on its own is the private, spacious uppermost bedroom, which has a queen bed, and a private bathroom.

The lower level is cozy and fun! A flat-screen TV, sectional sofa, stylish roundtable discussion/game table, two game tables with nearby bar seating for 2, and a comfy lounge area nearby. This level offers a second master suite with a queen-sized bed, and a full bathroom. Need to get some work done? This bedroom also features a desk.

Off the main level is the upper deck. It's comfortable, stylish, and convenient, and you'll feel it was very intentionally built for fast, unplanned leisure. There is a dining set on this deck, with seating for 6 and a gas grill. The lower deck is large and exuberates relaxation, so settle in and have some fun here. This deck includes a table, with seating for 4. Composite decking on both offers a softer, smoother, more luxurious underfoot feel.

Let's stretch our legs and head outside! Professionally designed to enhance the outdoor experience, there are two first-rate seating areas. The upper seating area is a petite spot adorned by fragrant tea-olive bushes. This is the perfect spot to gain a few moments of reflection; you may find yourself remembering this spot and longing for more peaceful moments here. Ready to join the group? Meander over to the large scenic overlook, where you'll find plenty of seating and a fire pit. This is where memories are made! From here, you have easy access to the floating dock, which is so easy you'll be tempted to just lay flat on your back to rest. If you're up for a boat ride, take out one of the two tandem kayaks. The water off the dock is approximately 4 feet deep, making it perfect for swimming, so step right in - but don't jump in! This is a naturally wooded area, and there are tree limbs under the water, so jumping in is unsafe.

The size and space of the house worked perfectly for the 7 adults that stayed at the property. Worked great for the gathering of the extended family for dinners and lunches. Relaxing on one of the decks in the evening was a must, great way to recap the day and plan for the coming days.

The home itself was the perfect layout and size for us. Being on the lake was perfect for our family. We are all love the outdoors. some was fishing everyday and others kayaked daily. The firepit was also a great feature for the evenings. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!!!! Thank you for a great vacation location!

Appears to be new to VRBO. Layout and space and decks were really nice…. We had a great visit. There were a few things to consider: Most rooms don’t have dressers Grill needs a wire brush to properly clean Bottom bathroom and 2nd floor bathroom (need flappers replaced) Bottom bathroom needs blinds A few burnt out bulbs, (most noticeably in master bathroom) House details - had incorrect information regarding trash disposal/pickup Some type of sound system that can be paired with a blue tooth device, is common in most houses of this price point. Consider putting a beverage fridge on the basement floor to maximize fridge space. But please know we really liked the home and appreciate you letting us rent for the week. Pete
