The Space:
La Parguera View is a beautiful penthouse apartment located in La Parguera, PR. Guests can enjoy nice restaurants, bars, boat rentals, and unique water tours. The penthouse terrace is a GEM, which offers stunning views of the amazing Cays at La Parguera. The apartment comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests and offers a shared swimming pool and one parking space. La Parguera View is a 2 minutes walk away from the “Plaza” where there is live music on weekends, close to bars, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, Bio-Bay Tours, Scuba tours, and nightlife. The property has a washer & dryer, a perfect amenity for an extended stay. Please know as you get closer to La Parguera you might encounter smaller/narrow roads, through some towns.

BATHROOMS REMODELED March 2024: All bathrooms have been renovated. Bathroom pictures will be updated soon!

FOR CHECK-IN: The check-in process at this property is a bit complicated in that the beeper for the parking gate can only be left inside the unit. That means that upon arrival, you will need to park outside the community, use the pedestrian entry panel to access the community and then walk to the apartment to get the parking remote and be able to park your car inside. Please keep this in mind before booking.

STREET NOISE: STREET NOISE MAY BE HEARD FROM THIS APARTMENT, ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND (THURSDAY-SATURDAY), PART OF THE CHARM AND LIVELY ENVIRONMENT OF LA PARGUERA.

SECURITY CAMERAS: La Parguera View has a camera at the front door - the device does not record, however, it transmits a live feed during reservations, for security purposes. Please note that there are no cameras inside the unit.

 
LIVING AREAS

La Parguera View features a spacious living area where the kitchen, dining table & living area all share the same space. There is a comfortable 3-person sofa, and dining table for 6 guests and the living area sits next to the spacious open-style kitchen. The living area features A/C and a full-size bathroom.

The MAIN ATTRACTION is the terrace, where all guests can enjoy stunning views of the Cays. It features patio furniture set for 4 guests and a high dining table that sits 4. 


SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

La Parguera View is a 2 bedroom apartment. The master bedroom features a queen-size bed, A/C, closet, and private bathroom. The 2nd bedroom offers two bunk beds with two twin beds each, AC, and a closet.


KITCHEN

La Parguera View has a recently renovated modern kitchen. The kitchen features everything you need for an extended stay; fridge, toaster, stovetop, coffee maker, dishwasher, and microwave. It also has a convenient opening toward the living/dining room. It also has a beautiful kitchen island that 3 guests can enjoy as a dining table and that can double as a workspace.

La Parguera is a nature-lovers paradise with ample opportunities for snorkeling, diving, hiking, birdwatching, biking, and so much more. Here are our top picks that you will enjoy during your stay:

Explore the large selection of local restaurants. Some of our favorites include Moon’s bar & tapas, La Casita Seafood, Brújula, El Turrumonte, Papo’s pinchos/Frituras Clara & many more.
La Parguera in Lajas is a phenomenal destination for all things nature-related. There are mangrove reserves, nature reserves, and a bioluminescent bay, all of which combine for wonderful snorkeling & SCUBA.
Experience the magic of the Bioluminescent Bays, there are two in La Parguera. Here you can snorkel or swim as the dinoflagellates light up around you.
“Malecón” or the boardwalk is great to visit during the weekends. Great place for food, drinks, music, laughter & shopping too. 
Visit La Parguera Nature Reserve is one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in Puerto Rico characterized by one of the most extensive and well-developed coral reefs on the island.
Kayaking and Paddleboarding are excellent ways to explore the mangrove channels of La Parguera Nature Reserve.  The waters are calm along the mangroves, and kayakers of all levels can enjoy the waters.


GETTING AROUND

While this property includes one (1) parking space, renting a car is a must to get to/from La Parguera. Once settled in at La Parguera View, you will find everything that you will need a few steps away. At the town’s main square, you will find a lively atmosphere filled with food kiosks, live music, and beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea. Also, there are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.


AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel-size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, and 1 dish sponge. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay. 


HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service.  If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. 
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.

Would not recommend this place at all!
Where do I start with this one.... First off to get into the actual complex is a mission in itself. Then once we were in it started raining. The rain came in from everywhere. The roof leaked in many areas, the windows leaked the closest leaked. We had water coming in from every direction. The internet barely worked. The air conditioning stopped working after 1 night and then to top it off, the amount of hair all over the apartment was gross! We mentioned everything to the owner, she offered a partial refund, and VRBO wont lets us tell you the amount but it was a total joke. We couldnt get out of this apartment fast enough.

Great place with amazing views!
This is a great, comfortable, and spacious apartment with amazing views from the kitchen and the roof deck. We loved being able to walk downtown in just minutes to get to the market, restaurant, and the various tour companies for the bioluminescent bay and snorkeling trips. Our only wishes were for a more comfortable (less squishy and squeaky) bed and a cleaner couch, but otherwise the place was very clean and comfy! We felt safe staying here with our kid. Check in is a little complicated but the management company provides pretty good instructions and we figured it out. We would stay here again!

We (family of 4 with 2 teens) had a great stay and especially loved the view & rooftop balcony. The place was very clean and spacious. The property manager (Rut) did a great job at contacting us & provided details- we had no issues finding the place or getting in. This condo is in an excellent location as 2 min walk to town. The roosters in the area didn’t bother us or wake us up. We didn’t use the pool but it was nice & would have had it to ourselves as not many people were around. We had some trouble getting back in through the pedestrian gate as the gate key was not labeled “gate” so took the wrong key but Rut was super responsive and we worked it out. We appreciated the extra touches like the plush bath towels, beach towels, mini toiletries, laundry pods, earplugs (we didn’t need), LED lighting and even a starter ground coffee! A few suggestions to take this to 5 stars would be… a new queen bed frame & mattress in the back bedroom as it’s super creaky just to sit! The bedroom with the bunk beds smelled funny and could use refreshing with new beds, matress & pillows. Replace both tubs as the coating is coming off and they have rusty spots. Not necessary but providing a few dishwasher pods, olive oil, salt & pepper would be even better! Overall, this was our first stay ever renting someone’s home & we felt at home & appreciated the attention given to ensure we had a nice stay. We would definitely recommend.

Great location - nice setup - minor maintenance items
The highlight is - of course - the roof top patio with an excellent view. The kitchen is very well fitted out - and the bedrooms are as advertised. Minor improvements that might be considered: - internet was subpar and quite slow (ok if you don't have remote work, etc). - hot water was a bit sparse and required a special switch to be turned on. - rooftop patio needs a bit of maintenance (former awning hardware bangs about if the wind comes up strong).

Amazing place walking distance to La Parguera Poblado
Overall experience was amazing. The place was immaculate and accuracy of listing was a100% matched. Communication with property manager was difficult. Jan from West Indies was very helpful once I reached him on the phone. The beeper to the parking lot was malfunctioning and we had to leave the car outside on front of the property As we were unable to reach anyone on the numbers that were provided. Overall I will come back as the condo is comfortable, clean, modern overall beautiful.

This place was exactly what we needed in La Parguera. Very short walk to all of the restaurants and boat rental places. Everything was clean and cozy. Having two bathrooms was very convenient and we enjoyed the rooftop terrace.

great getaway
The apartment was awesome! Walking distance to downtown, well equipt kitchen,beautiful new appliances, very clean, property manager responded within the day to replace an empty propane tank for grill,unbelievable views. Who could ask for anything more!? Highly recommend!!
