At the confluence of the Alsou and the Orbieu nestles Lagrasse classified "one of the most beautiful villages in France" and its Sainte-Marie abbey, founded according to legend in the 8th century by Charlemagne.
It is one of the most prestigious abbeys in France.
A 12th century bridge links the abbey site to the medieval village on the right bank of the Orbieu;
you will be able to discover the old hall, the painted ceilings dating from the Middle Ages, art craft stalls, local products.

Ideally located for touring the region, you can easily visit the City of Carcassonne, the Cathar Castles, the Canal du Midi, the beaches; (on average 30 mins from Lagrasse)
