Our group stayed at Villa Koster Carvoeiro in late December 2025, but we left after the first night due to multiple serious issues.When we arrived, we found dried ant spray on the floors in several areas, and ants were already present throughout the home. Although we contacted the support team immediately, the only guidance provided was to use more ant spray located under the sink.As the evening continued, things got worse. Several closets had a strong mildew smell and visible ants, preventing us from unpacking. An electrical failure also occurred, affecting the floor heating, refrigerator, and gates/garage access. Support told us to reset the fuse panel, but this did not work, and no clear timeline for assistance was offered.By the next morning, the ant infestation had worsened significantly. Ants covered the kitchen counters, walls, and dishes; entered through cracks in the foyer; and in one bedroom, thousands were emerging from a wall panel spreading onto children’s beds and clothing. Some members of our group woke up with bites.Due to all these problems, we determined the property was not suitable for our stay. The condition of the villa did not match the listing and was far from what we expected from a premium rental.We requested a partial refund, but Algarve Vacations declined, stating only that our feedback would be used to improve future guest experiences.Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience with both the property and its management.
