"After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. "The views from our room were simply beautiful. Able to see Kanchenjunga range. The service by the staff from reception to housekeeping to restaurant is excellent. "Hotel was good and reception was very good. However I noticed two things that could be improved. We stayed for a couple of nights. The bed was very soft and was giving a back ache. It would be good for one night stays but for longer stays, the beds are soft. Second was the bathrooms didn’t have floor towels or mats. After the shower the bathroom floor gets wet and has high probability of slipperiness. Not good for old people. "

"1) Resort map direction led us to different place and we had to search around little bit. 2) Location of resort is not great. 3) Resort was not worth for the amount we paid. 4) Bath room was stinking when we checked in and wash basin was over flowing. After reporting issue though a person attended but it was not fixed."

"Filthy rooms badly in need of updating (see photo of tub). Leaky faucets. Wifi was patchy at best. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Completely not worth the money and quite a ways away from Central Gangtok. Nothing within the resort to stay in and enjoy either. We will not be returning - and recommend you please stay away. There are plenty of other options in Gangtok for this high a price"
