"This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The bar area was a little cold but I soon warmed up with the lovely food that was on offer and the staff were really friendly and helpful which is why I would recommend this place to others thinking of staying here."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice area, Short walk into Axbridge in the evening. Great host, comfortable bed, quality teas and coffees, excellent breakfast, Thank You!"

"The staff were wonderful. The room was a good size and was welcoming. It was a continental breakfast, which suited us, as we were able to get what we wanted and take it to the room to eat. The dinner was delicious and there was plenty of it. Because the hotel is not staffed overnight, they asked if we wanted fresh milk and organised a little bottle for us. They also gave me a large bottle of water, as I had not had time to buy one."

"Tremendous hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. Room was so clean, fresh and quiet. We had the special “Chicken Curry” dinner and it was excellent. So convenient for an early morning flight. "

"We had a great stay. It was a city break with my two children and we really enjoyed the experience. The CoalShed has real character and was a great place to hang out with my kids and use as a base to explore all the great stuff on offer in Bristol. We loved the games facilities and the 'honesty bar', which is a great idea and was definitely welcome in the evening. The communal area is great for socialising with the other guests as well. "I would stay there again. However it would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the appliances. Had to figure out using chatgbt how to use dishwasher and washer/dryer. Could have had more kitchen garbage bags. There was just the one there and no others."

"Its a hidden gem for the airport. Rooms spacious, clean & comfortable. Only issue was the shower which would be easily remedied by replacing shower head...restaurant food & service really good.. only less than 20mins to airport (followed sat nav) Definitely use again on next airport visit."

"Staff were very good. Accommodation was all that was required and clean, apart from the 3 spiders in the bathroom. I guess they could have come in after the room was cleaned though. Breakfast was decent value although very slow to arrive and the eggs and sausages overcooked. The bacon bap was lovely and with a drink was also great value. A small concern was that one of the single beds had not been secured so it moved on the wheels when leant against. Overall decent value for one night. "
