"We stay here often on our way to the coast. Staff is always very friendly. We don't gamble so have never been to the Casino. The rooms are clean and comfortable and I highly recommend the Bay view room. There is a train that runs by the property but it comes and goes pretty quick. Good value fuel and snacks at the Gas Station next to the parking lot. "

"We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Marina Inn. It’s a cute and newly renovated hotel with a very convenient location. It’s very clean, interior is tastefully decorated and staff is amazing. The breakfast is continental but a bit more variety than expected. We also enjoyed the cookie jar with fresh chocolate chip cookies available all day as well as coffee in the kitchen/reception area. Yes, there was a desk chair, but there was no desk anywhere in the room even though the picture of the room online specifically showed the chair sitting at a desk. "Both the sink and bathtub were over flowing, did not drain properly. Towels had stains on them. The blankets felt very thin and had a distinctive scent. The carpet looks like it has never been vacuum or cleaned properly. The TV had issue turning on. We had to manually reset the TV for it to work. The carpets and walls in the hallways look outdated. All of our previous hotels allow us to check in early, they told us check in was at 3pm."

"Honestly I made the reservation before reading the reviews but did read them as I was on the way there and it made me nervous. As I went to the front desk it was around 9:30pm and there was no one there, waited about 10 minutes and someone finally made it to the counter. I was checked in by two people and one was very nice and the other one was strictly business with zero customer service skills but you can tell this is just how they are, straight business. Only disappointment was breakfast time was different than what is listed both here and on their website. We had to leave before breakfast started which made the value a little less. "The hotel grounds are beautiful but that’s about it. We stayed here for 3 days and the room was not cleaned the entire time. I put the sign on the door our last day for a cleaning only to arrive that evening to a dirty room. They emptied the garbage but left the rest of the room a mess. I’m not sure why they charged me 50 extra dollars for a pet fee. They should have paid me 50 to clean my own room. The breakfast would have been nice but by 8am all the items were gone. Breakfast hours are 7-10....

"Clean and friendly. Bed was huge and soft. Walking distance to major shopping. Plenty of parking. Staff at check in and check out were professional and nice and rate and room info were written down and clear. The cash deposit for the room was instantly refunded at check out, unlike a different brand of hotel elsewhere in Mount Vernon that kept a 2 week hold on the money even after I went back to a different state. I was surprised how nice my stay was here."
