The perfect apartment in La Spezia

Glenda met us in the street and welcomed us to her beautiful apartment. The location is perfect and the apartment is pristine. We were very comfortable with the two bedrooms two baths and two balconies. The kitchen and living area were also conducive to meals and making memories. Glenda provided welcome drinks and snacks which were so appreciated after a long day of travel. There were so many details that made this VRBO extra special.

Absolutely Amazing!

Glenda’s apartment and hospitality were amazing. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well stocked. Glenda has thought of absolutely everything. Spend some time at this beautiful place in this beautiful town. You won’t be disappointed!

Anniversary Adventure

We went to La Spezia six years ago, and Glenda and her family treated us so well that for our anniversary we returned “home” to La Spezia. The apartment is so nice and clean, and Glenda provides it with everything you need for a cozy vacation. The whole community is welcoming, and Glenda helped so much with advice for restaurants and activities. This time we rented a car and parked it in Piazza Europa. That was great as we drove to many other small towns and cities such as Portovenere, Parma, Modena, and Bologna. We also took the train on other days to Pietrasanta, Pisa, and Cinque Terre. Our favorite was Pietrasanta (Glenda’s suggestion), and you have to walk a little out of your way there and eat at La Mariposa Gastronomia! Our best activity, however, was just sitting on the balcony at the apartment and eating cheese and wine while looking out at La Spezia and seeing the people going about their everyday lives! We plan on returning next year. It’s more than a vacation! It’s a homecoming!

An Amazing Place and Owner

All I can say about the place is - WOW! It is very clean, located in the middle of the city and only 10 minutes from the train station - easy to get to any other city around. The owner, Glenda, and her mother are the best hosts I have ever encountered. They picked us up from the train station to drive us to the apartment. When we arrived, Glenda walked us through everything, how to get to places and recommendations of restaurants and things to do. She also provided food and drink (including two bottles of wine) to help get us started. When our time was done, she and her mon also drove us to the rental car company so we didn't have to get a taxi or drag our luggage 2 miles. Absolutely amazing! One note: The apartment is very spacious, but located in the middle of town. It can get a little loud at night outside the windows on a Saturday night. Not a huge issue - just more of an FYI. So much to see and do in the area, I wish we had been able to spend a few more nights

Apartment and host are the absolute best!!!

Fabulous place to stay

This is a wonderful rental. The location is ideal for taking the ferry or the train to explore the Cinque Terre. Restaurants and a grocery store are just outside the front door. There is a view of Castello San Giorgio from the balcony. The interior of the property is exactly as shown in the photos. We stayed in July during very hot and humid weather. The individual conditioning units in each room kept the entire apartment very cool. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard. Glenda is absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She met us at the parking spot and brought us back to the building, helped with our luggage, obtained dinner reservations for us and provided a lovely ‘welcome’ selection of food & drinks. Make sure to try the local pasta pasta provided!

Amazing stay in La Spezia

Glenda was so warm and welcoming when we arrived in La Spezia. She goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and ensure they have everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The apartment was impeccable and very comfortable! Glenda also included some staples for breakfast +++. If I could rate this listing higher, I would not hesitate! We will definitely be returning.

La Spezia Stay

This apartment was so beautiful! We felt so comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more! Glenda was a pleasure and she went above and beyond. She left us food, water and wine. When it was time to check out she even arranged for us to be driven to the train station. This was the best apartment we stayed in during our trip to Italy!

Stellar location, spotless apartment!

Beautiful apartment in the center of a lovely piazza. The best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. Will definitely come back here again. The hostess was amazing. Helped us with our luggage, left food and wine for us at the apartment, very gracious! Very comfortable apartment.

Wish we stayed longer

Glenda was a wonderful host and her apartment served very well as a base while we visited Cinque Terre. It was close to both the ferry dock and the train station. The apartment was very well stocked and had everything we needed and more. Her father was so sweet to pick us up from the train station- especially nice since we had our 5 year old son and 74 year old mom with us. Definitely would stay again.

Just WOW!

My husband and I traveled around Italy to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and we ended up in La Spezia on our actual anniversary date. Not only did this apartment exceed our expectations, but the host Glenda was spectacular!! She made an extra effort for our celebration and even gave us a small gift! We were blown away by the hospitality and kindness. The apartment is spotless with all the amenities that you could need and more. We can’t wait to return. Grazie mille Glenda! ❤️❤️

Excellent hostess

Glenda was quick with communication and very helpful. Her home was just as pictured and it was a great location within La Spezia. Easy train ride to Cinque Terra. She was thoughtful in stocking fridge/pantry. I would highly recommend staying here!

Appartement parfaitement conforme à l’annonce, d’une grande propreté, très joliment meublé. Très bonne literie. Très belles salles de bain où rien ne manque. Propriétaires réactifs, plus qu’ attentionnés allant même jusqu’à garnir le réfrigérateur et assurer à leurs locataires leurs premiers repas! Jamais vu ça dans aucune location auparavant. Fantastic property, location and amazing owners.

The apartment is a gem. Pictures on the site make it look good, but it exceeds your expectations by far when you set foot in the door. It’s no doubt a luxury apartment designed with class and a special vibe to it. The kitchen is top notch, and all furniture is terrific. Bathrooms are gorgeous and very well equipped. The location is just perfect to reach beautiful places for day trips to cinque terre, Lerici, etc. But the best is the family that owns the apartment and manages it. We had an emergency during our stay (had nothing to do with the apartment, to be clear!) and we were treated like family. They were so, so helpful we feel like we could have not made it without their consistent and keen interest in helping us and providing whatever support they could offer. In a few words, just amazing people. We will use this apartment again in the future when we go to Italy to celebrate Christmas. Hands down, the best we’ve ever found on VRBO. Thanks Glenda and Pierluca for all you did for us, and for the wonderful property you allowed us to rent!

Definitely a 5 star apartment !!

You will love the location of Glenda's apartment in La Spezia. This is a beautifully finished out apartment with state of the art appliances, terrific street views and a magnificent super host. This destination will make your stay near Cinque de Terre and Porto Venere a great place to begin your day trips. After our stay there we traveled for several weeks from North to South along the coast of Italy and this apartment was our favorite of all our accommodations. Glenda knows the area extremely well and gave us great advice on things we may have missed which made our trip very memorable. We will look forward to returning. Judy from Texas

Best place to stay in La Spezia

We have never stayed at a VRBO or HomeAway property that was as well kept, appointed, stocked and supplied as Holiday House. Kudos goes to the manager, Glenda, who is an experienced traveler herself and knows exactly how to make a guest feel at home. The abundance of snacks, cereals, groceries, beers and wine found upon our arrival really showed just how much she cares. Thanks Glenda. You are the best!

Our Stay

Wow this property and Glenda and Mom are amazing! Don't look anywhere else this please is perfect. This family goes out of there way to assist in everything. The apartment is clean, spacious and super clean. It's close to many restaurant and shops. A 10 minutes walk to train and a 3-4 minute walk to ferry. Don't think about staying any where else this place is perfect. ENJOY!

Wonderful Stay at the Holiday House Apartment

We had an amazing stay at the apartment in July. The apartment was incredibly well stocked and had everything we needed. Glenda was a fantastic host providing restaurant recommendations and other information. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Excellent base for Cinque Terre

We had an excellent experience from the moment we booked until the moment we left the property. The hosts were very attentive and helpful. La Spezia is a great place to use for a base to visit Cinque Terre. The apartment was very spacious and clean - just as pictured. We would definitely stay here again if/when we return to the area.
