This home is perfect for families or couples who want to relax in the desert. The kitchen is fully stocked, there are games, family movies, bicycles, pool toys and an air hockey and foosball table. On a large double lot, the backyard has a covered patio, built in BBQ, dining table, and even a firepit to cook up some smores so you can enjoy stars over the clear desert sky. Swings in the backyard save you from a trip to the park. A gated pool with a slide and a hot tub allows for maximum vacation enjoyment, while ensuring the kids are safe to play. Located within walking distance from Old Town LQ and hiking/running trails!

The space
The relaxing backyard has views of the surrounding mountains in the La Quinta cove. Twinkle lights on trees and around the patio perimeter create a tranquil space to decompress under the stars.


Other things to note
Per the City of La Quinta, NO music is allowed to be played OUTSIDE at any time.
(LQMC Section 3.25.070) Fines are subject up to $5,000 and to be paid by tenants. City quiet time is from 10PM to 7AM.

Pool heat is $125 per day.
Pet fees $200/per pet
A contract will be emailed out via doc-u-sign and it will need to be electronically signed. We require the id of the person who booked.
Minimum age requirement is 25. Renters required to sign a lease and provide a copy of their ID.

Great place and perfect location for our event we were attending. Loved that there were some kids toys around. The air hockey table was a HIT! We weren't sure about how to turn the hot tub heat on, but to be fair we also didn't ask because we ended up just being super busy anyway.

Disappointed

Got there to have dead roaches/water bugs on the floor throughout the house dirt on the floor, no WiFi/cable until a family member fixed it, tv in one room did not work at all and what look like pee in and around toilets and other items in each room that made it noticeable that house was not cleaned. Continuing to backyard…..let’s just say it was filthy! From the bbq and patio furniture to lounge chairs. We went there to relax and celebrate the holiday weekend but spent most of the time cleaning and making sure we didn’t take any creatures back home with us. Although We were discounted a night but honestly should have been more!!

Perfect for us!

This property could not have been more perfect for our needs! It was just as described online, and we found it to be a great location. There was plenty of space, and the property manager was very easy to communicate/work with. Would recommend!

Disappointed 10 day holiday

The property has potential. We had a dog bark nonstop behind us all week. I actually got a headache the first day from the barking. Animal services would not do anything. The neighbour behind us phoned and she was very upset with the noise and she lives there! Two other dogs were barking at 11 pm but not as bad as the one behind us. The funny part is the book of rules kept mentioning about noise and respect the neighbours. The oven, pans and fan were very dirty and the water did not get hot for more than 3 minutes. The main bathroom was okay but the hall shower had temperature problems also. We would have vacuumed the dog hair off the couch and carpet but the vacuum did not work well. We should have had the cleaning fee returned. The pool saved the 10 days we were there except for the dog barking non stop. The backyard was good. We sent a recording of the dog to Amanda(property management) and not much else we could do. Two broken dining room chairs and pool ladder and not sure if insect control is used. Second bathroom had a few cockroaches. I wish I could add my pictures to this review to substantiate this review. I sent the pictures to Amanda and the problem is our holiday is over and it was not worth the money we paid.

Very nice property in a quiet location

My family stayed at this property for a few days around New Year. It was perfect to relax and spend time together before everyone headed back to school and work. The house is in very good condition -- everything was clean and working. The kitchen had everything we needed to made dinners at home and more than enough space for the six. The pool and spa were clean and wonderful and the yard is larger than it seems from the pictures. As a nice aside, the air hockey table and foosball table were both working and in good condition. The property is nicely located in a safe neighborhood and is a very short drive from the shops and restaurants. We would definitely return to this property.

Relaxing home away from home

This was our third visit to this property and it never fails us. The memories made here are priceless. We have looked at other locations to stay but still come back here. We have a special needs daughter who is very curious, so the safety gate around the pool sets are mind at ease so that we can escape reality for a bit. Our preteen/ teen boys love it. It’s very accommodating where they can lounge around and play anywhere comfortably. Can’t wait till next summer 2023.

Great stay in the desert

We were a group of extended family that included 2 adults, 2 seniors, and 2 teenagers. We had comfy beds, aa great master suite, and all the amenities listed. There is a very nice grass area and a great patio. The pool and slide were a definite plus and kept us busy and comfortable. We used the hot tub each evening, and the fire pit was fun for s'mores and star gazing. We had fun in the garage with air hockey and foosball. There are bikes to ride and several pool inflatables and toys. We opted to pay for pool heat and we're very glad we did. So comfortable to be able to jump in and not shiver!! It was an altogether great extended weekend and we would definitely return.

Family Friendly!

We loved this home! The backyard/ private pool area is perfect for little kiddos. The neighborhood is nice and Old Town La Quinta was fun on Saturday night. We enjoyed the local ice cream shop and live Music. My 7 year old daughter said she never wants to leave! We plan to book this home again ☺️

Great place to stay with kids

Had a wonderful long weekend with our grandkids. Plenty of room for all. Toys for our 16 month old, and the slide in the pool was a hit with the 4.5 year old. Lots of pool toys and things to do close by. Living desert is a must with kids, park around the corner was a bonus. Thanks Ponderosa for a great mini vacation!

It’s the Perfect place for me, my husband and 3 daughters Nicolle 16, Emily 9 and Sofia 2 The house has everything you need, a lot of toys for my 2 years old baby, board game for all the family and kitchen fully stocked ( no food ) We spend a beautiful time in the pool area and the backyard 😊

This place is great

Such a great home , way better than the pictures. Anything you imagine you’ll need they have ! Kitchen fully stocked minus the food , games for the kids board and video. Just an overall great time ! We will be back

Nice property

The property was great. My wife and I, daughter, son in law and three young children under five enjoyed the pool and the backyard. The house is very child friendly with two bedrooms with bunk beds and lots of kids games. We are from Canada and had to cut our trip short due to the pandemic. The property manager, Amanda, was very helpful at all times. Special mention of the owners who graciously provided a full credit for next year for the time we missed due to our early return.

Beautiful location - excellent service

This home was perfect for my family's Christmas get away. We stayed with 6 adults and 2 small children. The pool was amazing and the living room/kitchen was a great space for us all to hang out together. The backyard/pool was perfect (the pics don't do it justice) and the living room is very large (again the pics don't do it justice). The best part - the management team was amazing! Amanda was extremely responsive - answering all our questions so quickly even though it was a holiday week. She really made the stay so easy and stress free. This house has everything you need - lots of towels, washer/dryer, pool toys, games, TONS of movies, foozeball & air hockey, loaded kitchen, kids' toys - we had everything and anything we needed to have a relaxing family vacation. The location is also beautiful - with mountains everywhere and tons of hiking trails within walking distance. My one tip: pay for the pool to be heated, it's definitely worth the money. It was cold (50s) while we were there but the pool was the perfect temperature and we spent every day in it!
