Welcome to Casa Linda del Sol, Mi casa es tu casa!

Built in 2019, my home in La Paz, BCS is located in the El Centenario area on a quiet cul-de-sac in the low hills in the "Residencias la Quinta" neighborhood. You will enjoy fantastic views of the Bay of La Paz/Sea of Cortez and the National Desert. Casa Linda del Sol is about 20 minutes from downtown La Paz and the Malecon (boardwalk) along the bay.

This Mexican Colonial-style home features 2 bedrooms with king sized beds, each with it's own private bathroom with large shower and beautiful local Talavera pottery sinks. Each bedroom has it's own sliding door access to the full length back patio and pool.

The casa is equipped with all new appliances. Kitchen area has granite countertops and all new small appliances. Separate laundry room with new full-size washer, dryer and storage pantry. From the living room area you have distant view of the Bay of La Paz/Sea of Cortez, the beautiful ever changing desert and the city night lights of La Paz. The smart TV allows you to connect to WiFi and Netflix. There are also HDMI ports. There are various books, puzzles, cards and games available to play as well. The outside back area has a full length tiled patio with a covered seating area. Patio table/chairs and lounge chairs compliment the patio. The heated pool is about 5 1/2 ft. deep with a shallow "Baja Shelf" ledge as well as easy steps in and out of the pool.

Since the back patio faces east, I can honestly say there is nothing more exquisite and beautiful than a La Paz sunrise! As you enjoy your morning coffee on the patio, you will experience the day coming alive! Listen to the morning sounds of the day awakening: birds singing, white-winged doves cooing, nearby roosters crowing, the buoy bell ringing in the bay... You may also experience a cow, horse or goat wandering thru.

You will need a vehicle to get around La Paz. Food shopping is easy, there are several stores: Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, Chedraui and Soriana are both local Mexican grocery/department store chains. If needed, Home Depot, ACE Hardware, Sears, Liverpool (department store like a Macy's) are all available in La Paz.

Local activities include: swimming/snorkeling with whale sharks or sea lions, bird watching, whale watching, hiking in the desert, kayaking, deep sea fishing or touring the city of La Paz. There are numerous tour operators that can take you on these wonderful adventures.

Local popular beaches include: Balandra and El Tecolote, both within a short drive from La Paz.

This is a non-smoking home.
No children under 12 yrs old.
No pets.
Long term rentals welcome-2 months max.
My property manager lives minutes away, so any issues can be handled.

Everything was great until the pool heater stopped working. The host said that this is Mexico and you can't get anyone to repair things quickly. Not an apology at all; just an excuse blaming the local people.

Wonderful Home!

Enjoy your vacation in this beautifully decorated, immaculate home which offers maximum privacy, 2 master sized bedrooms, and convenience to locally great restaurants and a huge Walmart which has everything you may need during your stay. The manager of the property, Victor, is always available to answer any question you may have, and he speaks English as well! We loved the heated pool and everything about this lovely casa. I rate this home with 5 stars!

Excellent stay!

Everything was perfect. Quiet, cozy, private and the pool was amazing. Views of the distant city lights during the night yet could also view the stars . During the day, it was quite fantastic watching and listening to the flicker woodpeckers in their cordon cactus homes, the quail families roaming about and the mourning doves cooing. Great home base for exploring La Paz and surrounding towns. Linda is the best! She called us a few days before our arrival with important/key information to make our stay easier. Victor is a “rockstar’ and was quick and responsive. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home with Great Pool!!!

Our stay was great! The home was clean and had a lot of amenities. We enjoyed hanging out on the back patio and enjoying the beautiful desert. The pool was a big bonus and was kept at a perfect temperature. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and we were able to bbq on the electric grill outside. The neighborhood was nice too. We were able to shop at a few of the local mini markets for all our groceries and alcohol without having to drive into town. Also found a couple of local restaurants tucked away too that were within blocks of the home and had excellent food. If we are ever back in La Paz area we would rebook this home in a heartbeat.

This is a lovely home with all the amenities. It’s very private and located away from the city. Spectacular views and photo opportunities. We did stargazing and midnight swimming. Highly recommend! Linda is a perfect host!

Beautiful home with a beautiful view

Lovely view with nice patio and swimming pool. All the cozy amenities of home tucked away up in the hills 15 mins outside La Paz. 5 minute drive to the local beach and nearby restaurants. Linda was a great host and Victor always responsive whenever needed. We would definetly return. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great quiet place

Nice house with all you need for a comfortable stay. Magnificent sunrises 🌅 behind the mountains. Short ride to the beautiful town of La Paz and it’s Malecon (20 minutes), museums, restaurants, etc. Longer ride to Balandra and Tecolote beaches (1 hour). If you want a quicker reach to the sea, El Comitan beach is a 15 minutes ride. Nice heated pool. Easy communication with the owner, who answered quickly to some needs we had. Special mention for Victor, the property manager, who was always available and so sympathetic !

Perfect Place

A wonderful, comfortable property outside of La Paz within a safe neighborhood. Linda is a great host, made wonderful suggestions and has a fantastic property. Very clean, in great shape, comfortable beds. Well appointed kitchen, smart TV and a terrific patio and pool with views of the city lights. Showers were very good with excellent pressure, soap, shampoo, conditioner, nice towels, everything like home. Very well cared for and help available from Victor, a kind man. We loved it! Combine the property and host and will definitely be back. PS, if you book, get a hold of Benjamin.

Beautiful and comfortable house

The property was lovelier than we expected. We stayed home more and cooked because it’s a fun setting. Dishwasher doesn’t do a good job but everything else worked and has all the comforts of home. Thank you Linda.

Absolutely perfect if your looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the big city

If your looking for nightlife or partying this house is probably not for you. But if you want to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the peace and quiet of the desert this is definitely where you want to be. The house has everything you need and the pictures don’t do it justice. Linda was so easy to deal with and got back to us right away if we had any questions. Victor her property manager met us at the house and explained how things worked gave us the keys and 3 weeks later we were sad to have to return to reality. We recommend a rental car as it is in el centanario about 15 minutes out of La Paz. Plus we did a lot of exploring of the area so a car was handy. Loved the house and the area will definitely be back

Great desert property with all the luxuries of home.

We had a great stay at Casa Linda. Our host was easy to contact and made sure we found the place after we were delayed in customs at the airport. The property is stunning as the photos with a great view of the Sea of Cortez across the desert. Inside was immaculate with all the amenities of home. Extra blankets and pillows, laundry available, towels and flotation devices for the pool, WiFi and NETFLIX worked well. Air conditioning was excellent when needed. The location of the property is 15 min from major shopping in La Paz and there is a ton of restaurants within that 15 min to suit everyone’s taste. Very relaxing private area around the poolside with good shade in the heat of the day. We would definitely recommend this well kept house to anyone and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the great hospitality Linda!

Great Home

We had to find this home on short notice due to another home falling through and I am so happy we found it. This was a great home in excellent condition for my family. It is a newer home in a new development of nice homes. The property manager was helpful and transition into the home was a breeze. I highly recommend staying here for anyone from couples to families. Thank you!
