Romantic beachfront

Come enjoy the beautiful beaches and surf of Playa La Mision. Share the love of this land with all that have visited here before. Less than 1 hr. south of San Diego and situated in between the towns of Rosarito and Ensenada, you will find the gated beachside community of Playa La Mision.

Inside our gates you will find that relaxation and enjoyment await you. This magical place is tucked into a rocky cliff above the Pacific Ocean with private access to the uncrowded, sandy beach below. Explore the two miles of spacious beach below, take a long walk, go horseback riding, surfing, swimming, shelling, or fishing. Explore the tide pools or or just relax under the sun. It all awaits you.

From our large patio you can sit and watch the whales and dolphins play just yards from the edge of the Pacific Ocean. It is a great place to relax and unwind. With a built-in barbecue and outdoor dining table, it is perfect for entertaining or just taking in the scenery. At the end of the day, you can watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. They are spectacular!

For golfers, there are two great golf courses - Real Del Mar and Baja Mar. The famous La Fonda Restaurant is 1 mile north and offers great food and a great time to all. Shop and sight see in Rosarito Beach or the port city of Ensenada. Wine taste in the Guadalupe Valley or visit the Fox Studios. The choice is yours.

Our cozy, two-bedroom, two-bath home is fully equipped with everything you will need to fully enjoy yourself.

Great location and access to the beach as always! Nice gated community. However, we were treated by what looked like months worth of cobwebs on the dolphins and general cobwebs around. Amenities were threadbare. Lighting did not have the remotes in some cases and light hard to come by, particularly in the bedrooms. Unable to read. The chair/footrest in master had mold on it and got on clothes, etc when I put them there. The couches and out door chairs are so worn that my guests would not sit in them. The refrigerator door is rusty/dirty and unappealing. The lighting on the stairs going to the beach are out on the bottom half of the staircase making it dangerous. The patio and fire pit, along with the beach, are the highlights.

We just arrived home from an extended weekend in baja. The view from this home is spectacular. We felt perfectly safe in this gated community, and it is nestled between la fonda, and bajamar for yummy meal options. Trip advise, always travel with plenty of water when in mexico. The 45 steps to the beaxh were easy for my husband and I to navigate, but my special needs son only went down twice. Not a problem though- the public beach is right down the road, and they sell fresh coconuts! Overall, we relaxed, and had a blast!

Always great!

It was our third time staying there with our family (3 kids, ages 10 & 8 yr old twins). We enjoyed each day so much! We love boogie boarding & playing sand games, etc. It is just the perfect location to enjoy long beach days. Communication with the hosts is always excellent. We will continue to go back to this home!

New Year’s Cheers

Had a wonderful again. We love this place. Can’t wait to come back when it warms up to take full advantage of the beach and ocean. Great location to take a day trip to Ensenada and another day to golf at Bajamar. Dinner at La Fonda to cap it off. We cooked it up at the house one night with fish from the Ensenada market. Like I said, can’t wait to bring the family back!!

Love the beach access!

This is a great little house in a great location. At first there was a little lack of communication and arrived with the caretaker of the house still washing and drying bath towels. That was not a big deal considering we bring our own sheets and pillows and towels so its not a real big deal to us. This house feels good it just has a certain charm to it. The beach is just a walk down the stairs and the views are great. As far as lighting in the house i thought it was sufficient but I didnt care for the LED's under the cabinets which took away from the charm of the incadascents. Also, the couches were stained and looked pretty dirty, they could use a little scrub down. For those of you who watch TV, they have plenty of channels to choose from like HBO,CineMax, Showtime and others, but the only one that mattered to me was the MLB Network. Once again, this is a great little house with lots of charm and me and my wife enjoyed every part of this house. If your looking for a house to rent for a few people with a great beach and easy access this is the house for you.

Rustic gem tucked back from the beach

What a unique stay! Truly beautiful property with incredible design touches. The house is comfortably tucked away between two large properties in a private, quiet, palm-lined area with a grand entranceway, bougainvillea-wrapped alley, and awesome porch. Patio views of the ocean are incredible with a windy staircase to the beach. We could have used a couple more drinking cups and wine glasses, but could cook our meals pretty easily in the lovely kitchen and dining area overlooking the sea. Remote work was easy for both of us with an office space at the center of the house and decent internet throughout (extender to the outside highly suggested!). The master bedroom was really spectacular with a fireplace, huge comfy bed, and its own courtyard entrance. Our only quibble was that the outdoor seating could use an update. Vince and Jose were great hosts; responsive, friendly and ready to handle any issue. We'd love to come back and visit this casa única again!

Hacienda Paradise

This gorgeous place was even more than we expected. If you want true Spanish decor this is the place for you. It felt like being in a castle and I'm pretty sure an interior decorator did his or her magic on the place‐‐no mishmash plus everything was logically in its place. We spotted dolphins frequently while enjoying drinks on any level of the exquisite patio. Loved being only 3 minutes from one of our favorite restaurants Dimitri's La Fonda and also enjoyed taking a ride to the wine country. Remarkable place to stay.

Another Great Stay!

This was our second stay at this property.......and will certainly make it a third, fourth, etc. Such a lovely house, equipped with everything one could possibly need. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens, cookware, tarp/beach chairs/boogie board in the garage for a beach day (just downstairs). Firepit on the lower terrace. Dolphins putting on a show in morning/dusk everyday -- couldn't ask for anything else! Check in/check out is easy, the place is secure and clean. Looking forward to our next stay!
