*HOT TUB:The hot tub on the lower deck in the backyard was added on Wednesday June 4, 2025. At the moment it is inoperable and not for guest use. This amenity has not been added to the amenity list on the platform for this reason.   ** We kindly ask that you do not remove the cover and attempt to use until your host messages you to communicate that the hot tub is ready and is for guest use.  Our goal is to have it operational and for guest use by Saturday evening (June 7, 2025).   Next steps are to have an the electrician complete some final modifications and then the pool technician treat the water and program the hot tub for guest use.  If you have any question about the hot tub please feel free to contact your host.

Visited Porter house with a family of 5 (3 kids over 21) and it was absolutely perfect. Extremely clean, fully functioning updated kitchen, enough seating in the living room, and plenty of sleeping space. Views from the back porch can't be beat. There is such charming character in the home, a nice departure from the typical boring, grey modern look. Not having a TV in the living room is a great touch - lead to so much quality time and fun. Only a short drive from the beach, Torrey Pines, & other great spots. Easy for Ubers to navigate! Parking spot fit our large car. The host was very responsive and thorough without being overbearing. Truly a perfect cozy get away in La Jolla!
