There are exterior stairs to entry. There is no direct access from the garage into the home.
The living room fireplace is inoperable.
There is a separate, detached ADU in the back (east) of the property. This is a rental with completely private space.

While you have your own garage keypad and parking, the garage space is shared with the ADU guests. Guests have their own garage keypad as well.
This home is monitored by exterior surveillance cameras and interior noise monitoring devices.
Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also provided for your use.
Windansea is known for its picturesque ocean views, bluffs, and surf breaks. While surfing is permitted, swimming and beach side enjoyment is solely dependent on tide levels and current. Summer is typically best for low tide beach access directly in front of our home. Beach access involves moderate bluff climbing.
You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families.

This home is located in Windansea, a prestigious La Jolla neighborhood. Windansea Beach is directly south of La Jolla village in San Diego. Explore the charming village of nearby La Jolla- with a great selection of restaurants, enchanting coves, and a spectacular 1-mile clifftop walk. Windansea is known for its unobstructed ocean views, characterized by gentle bluffs and remarkable surf. Windansea is a short drive to Sea World, and a half hour to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego.​​​​​​​

Attention:
This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. Owners live nearby! No tolerance policy exists for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, smoking, or pets. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting.

Don't forget to report any damages, issues, or upgrade suggestions—we truly value your feedback! Check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless a late check-out was pre-approved. Communication with the property owners was brilliant, the house was immaculate with great facilities and breath taking views. everything we needed was in the house and available. Property is very well maintained, the terrace is a perfect place to spend time.

Great home! Awesome views!

I spent a week here with my wife and 3 year old daughter. We had a great time. The views are amazing and the home is very nice. It was very clean and well stocked. The location is great. Right on the beach and walkable to many restaurants and things to do.

Oceanfront beauty

We enjoyed this rental soooo much! Has everything we needed even some left over beach toys for our 3 year old which was a pleasant surprise. I could sit on the couch and stare at the ocean all day! We picked this place because it was a couple blocks down the street from my sisters place. It did not disappoint. Surely we would love to come back!!

Nice view

Good property location. Great view,,, house had everything and was spotless. The garage is difficult to get in and out and is shared w other tenant behind house. There was at 6-7 people living in their cars (homeless),, lots of drinking and illicit smoking (drugs). Wasn’t expecting that. Property Manager communication was excellent.Overall a good experience.

Perfect Beach Getaway (Hidden Gem)

We stayed on this property for five nights and we had an amazing stay at this home. Weather was perfect during our stay too as it was breezy and sunny most of the time. Such at a great location right next to the beautiful Windansea Beach. The views were wonderful and sitting on the oversized deck or even in the living room where it has this huge open window to watch surfers was always fun to start the day! The house was comfortable and easy to gather as a family as well find some quiet time. We will definitely stay again. This house was hosted by Drift Vacations and they did a great job communicating and checking on us the whole time. Thank you for a great time!!

The Best!

Our daughter moved to La Jolla 9 months ago and lives down the street. This was a perfect house for me and my husband to be near her and have the relaxing and beautiful view to stay in. We enjoyed everything! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us. We are hoping to come back Thanksgiving 2024.

Great Stay!

The pictures of the front patio won us over and the stay did not disappoint! The house was very clean and very well kept. The front patio made for some great relaxing sunset views. The location wasn’t bad at all with small beaches being just steps from the house and included a nice walkway along the beach as well. A few restaurants were a 5-7 minute walk away and many major tourist attractions were 10-20 minutes away. The owner and other reviews were detailed to share that the garage is very narrow and not connected directly to the house. Not a big deal for us but good to know going into it. Also, the parking lot across the street had some people living in their vans who stayed there for the night, but they kept to themselves and we never felt unsafe with our one year old. Still, things to be aware of going into the booking. All in all, we loved the place. We would definitely stay again! We spent a lot of time looking at other houses/hotels and we’re grateful we found this one. For the price and amenities compared to other places we checked, my wife and I were very happy with the place!

Amazing

We were so happy with the location and the house that we cancelled two days of activities so that we could just hang. There is definitely more beach than the pictures suggest and chairs and an umbrella to use. The deck was great for people watching, surfer watching and just relaxing. I read a whole book. Love, love, love!! We will go back!

Great getaway!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely beach house. The location was perfect, right across from the beach with stunning ocean views!! Walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. The house itself was very nice, comfortable and cozy. Their management team was attentive and friendly, they responded very quickly to any questions. We will definitely be back!

Great location except for the bums

Great house … clean, super location. Unfortunately, there are anywhere from 3 to 5 bums that permanently park in their vehicles across the street. They may leave for a night or two during the week, but always return. The police have little time to stay on top of the issue, so, unfortunately, you have to deal with their drinking, smoking, a variety of things, and the noise they create. It’s too bad that local ordinances or not enforced. La Jolla prohibits overnight camping in public parking spaces but that law is only as good as its enforcement.

Family Vacation

Newly renovated property offset from wind & sea beach. Priceless views of the surf and walkable / bikeable to La Jolla Cove, Birdrock or even Pacific Beach. Check-in process was flawless, 100% remote and management company was in constant contact through text. I can’t recommend this property enough for families

Amazing home away from home!

This property is just beautiful. Was just updated. The view from the family room is breathtaking. Great people and surfer watching. So quiet at night, very peaceful. Would definitely recommend! Property managers were incredibly helpful, very quick to respond. We will be back!

I want to stay forever

The warmth of this home was breathe taking from the minute we walked in. The open air feeling with the beautiful sound of waves crashing on the shore was magnificent. There are no words for the fantastic time that was shared with us here. A vacation where you did not want to leave the house!

Gorgeous oceanfront view.

Our girls trip was to take in various sites in San Diego. Little did we know that the best place to be was LaJolla. Our VRBO was so delightful that we didn’t rush out each day. We lingered at our ocean view VRBO mornings and evenings. The neighborhood was great for evening walks. The local restaurants had something for everyone. I would stay here again!

Great little house with ocean view. Busy in the day for fun people watching and very quiet at night. Recently renovated with all new appliances. Suggestion would be just a small table and chairs for indoor eating in winter season. Check in information was excellent.
