This was a great home for a family vacation. The grandparents had their own space in the casita and the littles had their own bunk room. It was perfect for everyone. The home was beautifully furnished and well stocked. There were extra trash bags, paper towels, TP and laundry soap. The location couldn’t have been better. It was just a short walk (short enough for a 4 year old even) to a street that was full of little restaurants, ice cream shop and kayak and surf rentals. The beach was just a block further! The host was great with communication and checking in on us to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I cannot recommend this property enough!

This house was perfect for our group - 5 adults and 3 children! Plenty of space, very clean, and the beautiful kitchen was stocked with everything you need for some meals at home. The ability to be able to walk a few minutes to the beach and plenty of restaurants was a life saver for our large group. Also, just a 20 minute drive to the airport and most attractions. We had a wonderful trip and can’t wait to return!

Cool house in great neighborhood

Newly redone house a few blocks from the beach and from the shops and restaurants in La Jolla Shores. Management company was very responsive on a couple of small issues. We’d definitely rent this house again!

Big Kitchen for a great family visit

This is an older house that has been updated nicely. It has a nice big kitchen and living room which facilitated our family getting together for meals and group games. The hot tub outside was not super hot but we used it anyways as it was charming and warm enough after a chilly swim! The additional suite is good for a couple but be aware there is no door between bedroom and toilet so you may have to work up a system if sharing with a buddy.

Great Location and Comfortable Stay with a Few Very Minor Issues

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The location was fantastic—just a short trip to the beach & situated on a quiet street, yet conveniently close to the main thoroughfare. The home was clean & had plenty of beds for our group. My adult son loved the mini-apartment attached to the house. The overall decor was very pleasant & inviting.That said, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The master bed was somewhat lumpy, and the sheets were heavily pilled, which affected comfort. However, after a delay due to an apparent technical issue, the host did provide replacement sheets on the final days of our stay, which was truly appreciated. Some of the sliding doors, especially the one to the master bathroom, were difficult to open & close and could use lubrication. While the space was functional, I personally would have preferred a more open-concept layout with a kitchen island; the kitchen directly connecting to the living room. Shampoo & conditioner were included, but it was powder based and everyone in our family had difficulty using it. We bought our own locally and left it behind for the next renter. Additionally, basic cable wasn’t available. The built-in hot tub looked nice, but after trying it quickly realized that it was a bit dated.Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a great experience overall. The location and overall ambiance made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. With a few small upgrades, this wonderful rental could be even better!

Great House!

Wonderful house! Beautifully renovated, amazing kitchen, even bigger in person! Could use some stools for the center island, but perfect otherwise. Nice dining table and patio out back. Very comfortable beds, bathrooms were great, and the location is phenomenal, short walk to the beach and La Jolla Shores restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Easy fixes to make it a 5 star

The house is beautiful, easy walk to beach. Very clean, lots of room. Would stay again but here are the issues which are easy to fix For the amount of money paid for stay we expect Hand soap Better towels Get rid of silly strange hair products that Vacasa provides. No one at house but could not Check in early. No bath matt’s No rugs to wipe feet outside of doors. Cooking pots and pans not great No wine glasses No beach chairs or beach toys, these are a must at a beach home

House was lovely and location was terrific! A few details weren't quite right, such as the fire pit did not seem to work and couldn't find instructions on using it. The hot tub did not appear terribly clean and ready to use. We did not need these items, so it didn't affect our stay. But, everything else was great!

Stylish beach rental

We had a wonderful stay in La Jolla Shores at this brand newly renovated rental. Light and bright with a huge gorgeous kitchen and living room it was a perfect place to unwind after a zoo or beach day. Hot tub was a wonderful plus for our stay in early June (as June Gloom was in full swing) and heats up very quickly. Lots of beach towels but could have used an extra set of bath towels or two as there was an issue with the new clothes dryer that we couldn’t quite figure out. We were able to use the dryer in the ‘cottage’ which we also rented so it worked out fine. Lots of great shops and restaurants that traveling with the grandkids didn’t allow us to experience as much as we would have liked…we will be back for that!
