La Jolla Beach and Village - Contemporary and Bright

  • Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, approximately four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence has central air-conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) ! All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four in beds – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full-size beds. All mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. The living room comes with a wood -burning fireplace and there are hardwood floors throughout the unit. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. There is a full-size washer and dryer for use in the unit.

    The retreat has exclusive use of a private outdoor patio in the back yard with a covered outdoor seating area, a dining table, and three sun loungers. A new BBQ has also been installed for your exclusive use. The front yard patio is for the exclusive use of the upstairs residence.

    The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

    Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.

    The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.

    As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. The retreat has off-street covered parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away.

Had a wonderful stay! Loved the proximity to the water, this is a very walkable location, we were able to also enjoy the great farmers market on Sundays. Property was very clean and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay, relaxing on the back patio. Stayed with four adults and had plenty of room. Also included beach towels and chairs. Communications with the owner was great, and access to the home was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

This stay was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The unit was nicer than we expected from the photos, and every detail was thought through. It was well furnished and had all the basic supplies plus more, including beach towels and umbrellas. The location was perfect—only a few minutes walk to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants. It was on a lovely and quiet street with easy parking. The private backyard patio was a wonderful addition and we used it daily for meals and relaxing. We absolutely hope to return and stay here again.

This stay was phenomenal. The location is outstanding - loved walking to Impressions in the morning, the air was crisp and clean, walk to the beach was easy. The rental itself looks just like the photos - king size bed in the front room and 2 queens/fulls in the second room. 2 bathrooms and a fully appointed kitchen. Loved that the washer and dryer were in house and the TVs had streaming. The central AC was a great amenity to have. The WiFi was also a great perk. While we didn’t use it much the backyard patio was spacious and private. The entire property was clean and every detail was accounted for. Communication with Lisa was efficient and easy - you can tell she cares. Whether you come here for the beach, the weather, the biotech industry or as a UCSD family, can’t go wrong with this rental. Highly recommend. We will be back!

Perfect house for a fantastic beach vacation

Our family of four (two adults and two teen boys) had a terrific stay at this property. Lisa had everything we needed to enjoy our time at the house and on the beach which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommend for a beautiful stay in La Jolla.

Amazing place to stay in La Jolla

The place is clean, well accommodated, and in a great location. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk to downtown La Jolla. Everything we wanted and needed was readily available!

Wonderful host and great location/property

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is on a quiet street but an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, the farmers market, etc. It was spotless on our arrival and parking/access was easy. Fantastic vacation getaway

We loved our stay in Lisa’s home. It was comfortable, clean & tastefully decorated & she provided those little touches that made it extra special!! Plus the location was so perfect. You could stroll to the beach and walk to local cafe’s, coffee shops around the corner and just hop in the car and you are in the heart of beautiful La Jolla Shopping & restaurants & so close to everything in San Diego.

Great location!

This place, in a quiet neighborhood, is walking distance to almost everything in La Jolla - beaches, restaurants, the seals & sea lions, etc. Very comfortable king-sized bed and comfortable outdoor living. Highly recommend if you want to be away from the hustle & bustle of La Jolla Village, but close enough to enjoy it when you want.
