La Jolla Beach and Village - Contemporary and Bright

Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, approximately four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence has central air-conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) ! All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four in beds – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full-size beds. All mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. The living room comes with a wood -burning fireplace and there are hardwood floors throughout the unit. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. There is a full-size washer and dryer for use in the unit.

The retreat has exclusive use of a private outdoor patio in the back yard with a covered outdoor seating area, a dining table, and three sun loungers. A new BBQ has also been installed for your exclusive use. The front yard patio is for the exclusive use of the upstairs residence.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.

The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.

As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. The retreat has off-street covered parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away.

This stay was phenomenal. The location is outstanding - loved walking to Impressions in the morning, the air was crisp and clean, walk to the beach was easy. The rental itself looks just like the photos - king size bed in the front room and 2 queens/fulls in the second room. 2 bathrooms and a fully appointed kitchen. Loved that the washer and dryer were in house and the TVs had streaming. The central AC was a great amenity to have. The WiFi was also a great perk. While we didn’t use it much the backyard patio was spacious and private. The entire property was clean and every detail was accounted for. Communication with Lisa was efficient and easy - you can tell she cares. Whether you come here for the beach, the weather, the biotech industry or as a UCSD family, can’t go wrong with this rental. Highly recommend. We will be back!

This stay was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The unit was nicer than we expected from the photos, and every detail was thought through. It was well furnished and had all the basic supplies plus more, including beach towels and umbrellas. The location was perfect—only a few minutes walk to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants. It was on a lovely and quiet street with easy parking. The private backyard patio was a wonderful addition and we used it daily for meals and relaxing. We absolutely hope to return and stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this conveniently located, super clean and very comfortable home. The pictures are accurate and the house is well-maintained inside and out. I The beds are very comfortable with extra blankets to enjoy the cool night air and there was ample storage space in each bedroom. The kitchen was very organized and had everything I needed to cook a couple of nice meals. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space and the easy walk to the beautiful Windansea Beach for breathtaking sunsets each evening. The neighborhood is charming and quiet. We didn't have to use the dedicated parking spot because there was always easy parking on the street. The house is an easy drive and an easy but long-ish walk to the great restaurants and shops in La Jolla and the neighborhood of Bird Rock. We were also surprised how quick it was to get to downtown San Diego Convention Center (20-30 minutes each way). Lisa immediately responded to any little question that we had which was very reassuring and her instructions/rules were clear and completely understandable. We highly recommend this house and hope to return soon.

We had an excellent stay at Lisa's property. Lisa was quick to respond to questions and checked in with us during our visit to see if there was anything we needed. The house was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. Proximity to the beach is a big plus. It was especially hot during our stay and the air conditioning did its job well. We were in the downstairs unit. You are able to hear the foot fall and voices of people in the unit above. The outdoor area/garden in front of the house was a nice spot to gather in the morning and late afternoon.

Comfortable and convenient

We enjoyed our stay at this nice little house. We had the entire first floor of the house. There is another similarly sized unit upstairs and a third unit in the back yard. We rarely saw anyone else and only occasionally noticed noise from people staying above us. There is a nice relaxing front patio with a little ocean peek-a-boo view and a nice back yard patio area as well. One can walk a few blocks down the street and find a little walkway to the beach. Many of the La Jolla downtown businesses are also just a brief walk away through beautiful and friendly neighborhoods. The house was also centrally located for us in the San Diego metro area and a great place to come back to after exploring.

A La Jolla Gem

This apartment is a gem, and Lisa (the owner) is a pleasure to work with. The living space is large, the bedrooms and bathrooms are well furnished, and the kitchen/living space can accommodate a large group. There is an outdoor barbecue and sitting area that is nice for entertaining. You can walk from the property to Windansea Beach in about 15 minutes, and into the village in about ten minutes.

This spotless first floor unit has a great location in a charming quiet area with ample parking on street and off. No matter what we looked for, we found it, clearly labeled so we could return it to the proper place for the next guests. The full size laundry pair was a real plus.

Amazing place to stay in La Jolla

The place is clean, well accommodated, and in a great location. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk to downtown La Jolla. Everything we wanted and needed was readily available!

A real gem!

This rental was a real gem. We have rented a few small houses in the past in this unique area but this place was our favorite. The rooms are spacious (the pictures shown on VRBO are accurate), modern, very clean (kudos to the cleaning team), well lighted (plenty of windows and light fixtures) and the central air conditioning works very well. The kitchen is fully equipped, the private garden is very pleasant and surprisingly big - it is well furnished and offers an added space with a roof (outdoor living room feeling). We found it to be perfect to chill during the sunny hours of the day, especially during this very warm August month. The location of the house is fabulous: it is a short and beautiful 8 minutes walk to Windandsea beach (hello paradise beach, Mediterranean style) and only a few steps from the free tennis courts (La Jolla High School). As far as shopping is concerned, here again, top location. We went shopping/eating out on Girard street or Prospect Street - what a bliss to be able to leave the car at home most of the time (parking the car in front if the house on the street was super easy)! We could walk from the house to Pavillons’ grocery store (Vons) - it is about 7 minutes away. In a nutshell, this was a « coup de coeur » for our family. We want to offer a big thank you (merci) to the owner Lisa who was very responsive and made our stay so comfortable. Little foodie tip: the Bird Rock Coffee shop in Bird Rock is delightful and serves way better coffee than th

Beautiful Property in a Great Location!

This property was exactly as described, no surprises. It has a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to prepare lots of food in it. The beds were comfortable, and everything seemed very clean. Lots of beach/ outdoor toys and supplies available for our use. Easy walk to the beach and to stores/restaraunts. Highly recommend!
