Gîte du Clos Voucheot, large spa, Vallée de l'Ouche

Do you know what a folly is in architecture? A holiday or reception house whose construction was commissioned, 2, 3, 4, or 5 centuries ago by an aristocrat or a bourgeois.
This one, like the original follies, is built in a quiet place, in the countryside... but this time built from recycled wood, or saved from transformation into firewood, and without intermediaries: here it is the Master Carpenter who welcomes you in his "madness". You will find an intermediate work of his life, a break from his profession, the point of his 30 years of experience and what he wanted to show in it.
After more than 1000 projects with the Arbre à l'étrier at the service of the Burgundians mainly, it is in the heart of Burgundy and inspired by the general shape of one of its flagship monuments, that this 100% creative year was able to give birth to the Clos Voucheot gîte.
Many pieces of wood are already in use, they have lived in barns, dovecotes, castles, village houses. What did they see? What did they hear from these workers who sometimes implemented them several hundred years apart? What did they experience in this great Burgundy steeped in history? All of them have a story. Maybe at night they whisper them in the ear of the attentive?
You could find out by coming to sleep in one of the 4 rooms of this castle, or this madness... You could find out by testing the mezzanine, but you may be more absorbed by the contemplation of the starry sky or the Burgundy canal...
You could find out by turning off the bubbles of the huge spa, if you look up and listen to the bell tower tell its story. You could tell it all together for a weekend. You could also invent it, the story belongs to us, it's your turn to write it!
You will be able to discover secrets and see unique products, because they are handmade, see the book of works, but you could choose to hear the confidences of your friends instead, the braying of the deer of the valley, the chirping of the birds in the morning...
Arnaud, the carpenter*** wanted to pay tribute to manual work, to all those who move forward, take matters into their own hands, get their hands dirty, don't go overboard, and he leaves it to me to combine the gesture with the word to present his work.

Note:
-in each of the 4 bedrooms, as well as in the mezzanine: the bed can be prepared as a choice of 2 single beds or 1 double bed.
- A Minut noise tester, installed outside, will send you a message if you pass some alone (don't try to test it, please send it to us too ;). No noise outside in the evening from 9pm to 8am the next morning. For the rest of the time, enjoy the peace and nature; the neighbours also appreciate them ;). Thank you!
