Charming stone house in a quiet setting with a pool and a garden with trees

In a typical Mas of the south of France, belonging to the picturesque town of La Boissière, 20 minutes from Montpellier, 15 minutes from the Hérault gorges and the Pont du Diable, 45 minutes from Sète and the beaches, this charming former sheepfold of the seventeenth century, bordered by its large garden with swimming pool and leisure areas, is ready to welcome you for a relaxing, friendly and authentic stay with accents of the South...

Ideal for holidays with family, but also with friends, everything has been thought out so that children have fun in complete safety while adults enjoy a well-deserved summer interlude!

On a total of about 100m2, the interior of the house consists of a first floor, comprising:

- a main room with traditional kitchen and dining room, with mezzanine and relaxation area (large sofa, video projector, sound system, play area, drawing and books for children). Note that the sofa on the mezzanine is convertible and can accommodate two additional people, but this space is open and does not benefit from air conditioning.

- a bright and very pleasant master suite overlooking the garden, with a large 160 cm bed, walk-in shower and double sinks, as well as a large cupboard.

- an entrance and a corridor with storage.

- a separate toilet with washbasin.

Upstairs, two other bedrooms that can accommodate 2 people each: two adults and two children or four children. The first bedroom offers a nice space with a bunk bed with two beds of 190 x 90 cm and a large storage cupboard, as well as a play area (games, toys and books on request depending on the age of your children, if they are careful of course 😉).

In the second bedroom, you will find a 140cm x 200cm futon sofa bed, with a small wardrobe.

A small bathroom serves the two bedrooms upstairs, with shower, sink and toilet.

A baby cot can also be added on request in one of the three bedrooms, as well as all the necessary equipment for the reception of an infant (co-sleeping cot, changing table, baby-cook, toys adapted to the age of your baby, protective barriers at the stairs, shantala bath, stroller, sling, baby carrier, high chair, travel cot, deckchair, potty, toilet seat, etc.).

The house is equipped with a recent air conditioning system that benefits the three bedrooms, and mosquito nets on the windows of the bedrooms. The stone also allows to preserve a natural coolness that is very appreciable throughout the house. The use of air conditioning must be reasonable and will be charged if it is used in an abusive way.

The exterior of the house is a call to relaxation. You will enjoy the dining area in the shade of the majestic lime tree. A large stone barbecue with vine shoots and a gas plancha are available for convivial moments of sharing. This space has intimate lighting to enjoy nightly summer meals.

Next to the dining area, your children will enjoy a dedicated area, under your supervision, with a playground (swings, trapeze, slide), a small hut, and a wading pool.

In the other part of the land, secured by a magnificent stone wall and a locked gate, you will enjoy a large swimming pool 10 x 5 m, about 150 cm deep, and its sunny wooden terrace promising hours of idleness to the sweet song of the cicadas. A small pond welcoming goldfish and frogs adds an additional charm to this space. You will also have access to aromatic plants and tomatoes from the vegetable garden if this year proves to be productive...

Two cars can be parked on the grounds, but you can easily find parking spaces nearby to free up the beautiful garden space and play games of table tennis, pétanque, or Molkky (table and table tennis rackets, petanque balls, Molkky and darts available).

At the Mas, there is no noise pollution, the local culture wants everyone to respect each other's space and nature. Forget the noise of the city and the engines! You will be lulled by the songs of cicadas and birds during the day, and crickets, owls and screech owls at night. Out of respect for our neighbourhood, we do not allow parties, and thank you for paying attention to the noise level, especially at night. Our pet friends are not allowed, and our smoking friends will be asked to smoke outside, and use ashtrays.

Visitors have full access to the accommodation and the garden, with the exception of the small stone Mazet, which will be closed and in which we will store our belongings.

Household equipment: washing machine and large drying racks, Delonghi coffee machine, gas stove, oven and fridge with freezer, recent air conditioning system, internet connection, video projector, sound system, mosquito nets, barbecue, gas plancha, baby equipment. Please note that we do not have a television, dishwasher or microwave oven. We also do not have a bottle warmer or baby monitor.

Bath towels and bed linen are provided, as well as shower gel, shampoo and basic food necessities (oils and vinegars, salt, pepper, spice drawer, pasta, rice, etc...). Cleaning products are also available.



Nearby, many activities await you:

- A 15-minute drive away, a great site of the Hérault gorges with the Devil's Bridge, but also one of the most beautiful villages in France: Saint-Guilhem-le désert. Canyoning, canoeing, tree climbing, swimming, visit of the caves of Clamouse and Les Demoiselles, St Jean-de-Fos, potters' village, Castellas de Montpeyroux, ...

- On the warmest days, or for the early risers, many wonderful hikes in the nearby sites: Cirque de Mourèze, Navacelles, Pic-Saint-Loup etc ... The Camino de Santiago passes through the village.

- You can discover the Lake Salagou Geopark, recently classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, 25 minutes away by car (swimming, walking, pedal boat, mountain biking)

- The beaches: beaches of Frontignan, Les Aresquiers, but also Palavas-les-Flots, Carnon, Petit and Grand travers, Sète, Agde.PGJyPg
