Good location for my agenda (East of the River).
I appreciate the effort put into making breakfast available, not essential but it was nice. It is a 10 minute walk from the major tourist strips, which is a very good thing in my opinion.
The mattresses are on the firm side, and the AC was possessed, but otherwise the rooms are excellent with a great bathroom and very spacious. I was on my own but the room would serve two people comfortably.
I have seen some very bad reviews here regarding rude staff, I can only attribute this to very bad luck (or manners), as I have stayed here twice and the staff have always been extremely obliging , friendly and professional. I travel to Kyoto about once a year, and will continue to return to this hotel. Thanks.
