Seaview es una casa grande situada en una situación idílica con las más fabulosas vistas hacia la isla de Skye. Es un lugar ideal para relajarse y disfrutar de la tranquilidad o como base para recorrer la costa oeste de Escocia. Con cuatro dormitorios dobles y capacidad para 8 personas, 2 familias en el pasado han compartido sus vacaciones en Seaview. Glenelg tiene una población de alrededor de 300, y se encuentra en una zona muy tranquila y pacífica de Escocia con un paisaje impresionante. Situado en la costa continental, frente a la Isla de Skye ,. El ferry local sobre el mar a Skye es de 3 millas de distancia, o el puente (ahora libre de peajes) es de 17 millas de distancia en Kyle of Lochalsh. Hay una gran cantidad de paseos de varios niveles en las inmediaciones: desde un 5 minutos a pie a la tienda local o posada; a lo largo de la costa o cañada; y senderismo desde paseos suaves a las Cinco Hermanas de Kintail. Hay muchas otras actividades en los alrededores, incluyendo una excelente pesca. De interés histórico son los Brochs pictos, cuarteles del general Wade y Sandaig (donde Gavin Maxwell vivió con sus nutrias) ya partir de las cuales se hizo el Anillo película de agua brillante. Great location on the edge of the loch and fantastic views across to Skye. The property was very clean, would have given five stars for info but the site pdf said towels not included, only to find towels were provided, so we used the ones we had brought with us. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of crockery and baking equipment. Enclosed garden was good for the dog. Visited local shop a quite a few times and ate twice in the pub, both only a five minute walk away. We had a very relaxing stay, lovely local walks, the historic brochs, and Gavin Maxwells Croft and strolls along the beach. All in all a lovely New Year family stay

Beautiful house in a quiet friendly village with outstanding views. Large rooms with comfy beds, good bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen. Terrible sofas in living room or it would have been the best accomodation I have stayed in ever. Fantastic Inn with amazing food just 5 mins walk. The fishing outside the cottage and from the pier was good. Met Willie and his pet deer in Corran, saw otters, seals, pine martins, and there were porpoises in the bay. Had good weather and were spoilt for lovely places to picnic. Special thanks to the lovely cleaner. Amazing all round holiday. Aileen

Seaview provided the ideal home away from home whilst visiting Glenelg . The instructions from the property manager to access Seaview were concise and accurate. Seaview has a well equipped kitchen, spacious, ideal location for sea kayaking, enjoying the beach, cycling and hill-walking. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The living room was spacious and comfortable for relaxing and admiring the views over the Sound of Sleat.

Lovely house to accommodate a large group, set within stunning surroundings. We never want to leave at the end of our holiday. This is our third year here as a big family and it feels like Glenelg just gets better and better. Everything was fantastic the only thing I would say though is the sofas need updating, my elderly father struggled getting on and off them.

This is a great location with dramatic views over The Sound of Sleat - a scenic delight out of the front windows in all weathers and all light conditions. We had lots of room and slept in comfortable beds. The house was warm and cosy with an excellent TV. Catering was well provided for in a large and well-equipped kitchen. We fished from the front doorstep (almost) and successfully foraged for fungi locally. When we felt like it, the village pub served great meals and live music. Friendly neighbours and local folk made the whole week a one to remember. Thank you David.

Thirty years ago my wife and I honeymooned in the Highlands. This year we decided to take our now adult children and their partners away for a week to celebrate. One had to drop out due to work commitments so we had seven adults staying at Sea View and it was excellent. Well appointed and comfortable, with magnificent views across to Skye. Being the Highlands we were out from dawn to dusk enjoying the magnificent country but in the evenings Sea View was the perfect base. Room to eat together, good cooking facilities, space to read or play card games etc . We thoroughly enjoyed our week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sea View to anybody considering a break in this beautiful country.

Wer die Highlands liebt und die Insel Sky, der hat hier alles richtig gemacht. Nicht nur, das hier die ältestes Skyferry fährt, und ein romatisches Pup zum plaudern einlädt ist das ferienhaus geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die vier schlafzimmer bieten genügend platz und ein separater wohnraum zum entspannen, gigantisch. Die küche ist großzügig, wunderbar zum selber kochen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefüllt. Thank you we loved our week at seaview. Wildlife was out in force with pine martins, birds, deer and otters all making an appearance. The local mountain rescue were also amazing, thankfully they didn’t need to go further than our cottage as our missing party returned rather cold and wet but safe. My main concern is that the property is listed as being suitable for children of all ages and that there is a cot and high chair, this is true but to be honest they were not in a very good state. The high chair was dirty and the harness was not the correct one and was not fit for purpose. The cot is a travel cot that was again dirty/stained and had no bottom sheet luckily we took blankets with us for our little one, the stair gate is not much use either we had to adapt it to fit but not ideal. If you are taking children younger than 4yrs be prepared to improvise. Fantastic place to relax and unwind with family. Highly recommend visit to walled garden in applecross if you like driving in the highlands and loch Caron Spar a must if your upthat way.

The house was nice and clean (apart from the oven) and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen lovely, fresh and clean. The lounge furniture however wasn't so good with uncomfortable settees. It didn't matter to us as there was only three in our party and the weather was superb so we spent a lot of time outside but for a larger party it could be inadequate. All in all we had a lovely stay at Sea View

Fantastic scenery, a peaceful and tranquil place. Lovely little village, with a cute little cafe and fantastic food at the local pub. Lots of places to walk, ideal for cycling and not too far from Skye bridge. Owner extremely helpful replacing the kettle when it broke down. House has plenty of space for large families or groups, nice big kitchen for cooking together.

Von der Hauptstraße führt eine 25 minütige Fahrt, über eine wenig befahrene Straße, die in großen Teilen Single Track Road ist, nach Glenelg. Das große Haus (Seaview) liegt direkt am Wasser mit einem traumhaft schönen Ausblick aufs Meer. Der Strand ist steinig. Die Möbel sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen was den Eindruck des Hauses und das wohlfühl Gefühl deutlich trübt. Im Wohnzimmer kann man bequem mit 8 Personen am Tisch sitzen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Eine Spül und Waschmaschine sind vorhanden und gut nutzbar. Die beiden Badezimmer sind relativ neu. Wir hätten uns einen weiteren Satz Handtücher gewünscht, sodass wir nicht 10 Tage lang das gleiche Duschtuch hätten nutzen müssen. Im Ort gibt es einen Mini Shop und einen Pub.

We had a lovely time with the whole family. (Three generations). the house is spacious well equipped with everything we needed. It is clean, cozy and warm, when the weather was less friendly. Although quite remote, it is nice that there is a shop to get essential! The locations is wonderful, so close to the water. Beautiful views and a good place to explore the area from. We enjoyed our crossings on the turn table ferry, and the beautiful drive on the other side on Skye. But also the immediate surroundings of Glenelg, the Brochs and the coast line on the way to Arnisdale and Corran are full of treasures. I would like to come again and for further explorations and more walking!

Sehr saubere, sehr gut ausgestattete Unterkunft mit viel Platz. Sehr netter, unkomplizierter Kontakt zum Vermieter. Die Austattung scheint permanent modernisiert zu werden - nagelneue Waschmaschine, nagelneue Heizung. Der Garten ist ideal zum Toben und komplett eingezäunt, was mit Kleinkind eine große Erleichterung war. Das Wasser vor der Haustür ist glasklar. Wer Sandstrand haben möchte, kann ca. 2/3 km Richtung Fähre laufen oder gehen. Das Glenelg Inn ist die einzige Gaststätte im Ort, mit unheimlich köstlichem und sehr abwechslungsreichem Essen, sehr gemütlich. Es gibt eine kleine Farm mit Café 4km entfernt, an den Glenelg Brochs (schöner buggytauglicher Wanderweg) wo man ganz frisch Bio-Gemüse kaufen kann und zwar zu unglaublich günstigen Preisen. Ansonsten - dessen sollte man sich vorher bewusst sein - gibt es einen Minishop in Glenelg, wo man das Allernötigste kaufen kann, und dann den nächsten Supermarkt erst in Kyle, etwa 40 Minuten Autofahrt. Das nimmt man aber für die unglaublich spektakuläre Natur, den direkten Blick auf die Isle of Skye und die absolute Ruhe gern in Kauf. Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub.

Seaview is a comfortable, spacious house with a fully enclosed garden which was great for our dog. The bathrooms have been uogtaded and are clean with good showers. The bedrooms are large as is the living space. The view out the front window is stunning - directly actoss the water is Skye. There is a small shop for essentials which also houses a post office with part time hours. The Im is only a five minute walk away and well worth having a meal at although booking is recommended. There is s good park with swings, etc and a football pitch with goals. Directly across the water is Skye and taking the 5 minute turntable ferry is a must. Our whole family and dog had a great holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Seaview as a destination.

Ruime, comfortabele woning op een prachtige locatie, geweldig uitzicht, een fijne, afgesloten tuin, ideaal voor de hond. Fijne bedden, ruime zitgelegenheid, keuken van alle gemakken voorzien. Dichtbij de overtocht met de ferry naar het eiland Skye. In het dorp een winkel voor alledaagse boodschappen, een gezellige Inn met lekker eten en een leuke koffie- en lunchgelegenheid. Een aanrader, echter houdt rekening met "midges" in de zomer, kleine, gemene steekvliegjes.
