  • Welcome to the Hidden Treasure Inn! We are located on a quiet street in downtown Kure Beach. As a part of the famed Pleasure Island, you will discover that Kure Beach is a small beach town with a big heart. During your stay at The Hidden Treasure Inn, you're only a short walk to our beautiful beaches and the Historic Kure Beach Pier. "The Pelican" is Room 2 in a unique four unit Inn located on a quiet side street, only 2 blocks from downtown Kure Beach. Enjoy your own private entrance onto our shaded brick patio, where you will enjoy our beautiful gardens, fenced grassy yard with picnic tables and a hammock for relaxing after a day in the sun. You'll also want to spend time by the crystal clear pool while your visiting.

    "The Pelican" is a large one room efficiency with a Queen Bed and a Twin in the Living area. The kitchenette is small but efficient, and will serve your family well while your at the beach although it is worth noting that there is no dishwasher or washer/dryer. Note too that this unit has a cooktop only and no oven.

    Everyone will love people watching from the porch, playing games on the manicured lawn, or preparing your catch of the day on the gas grill. You may never want to leave Hidden Treasure Inn; but if you do you'll find plenty to do with shops and restaurants nearby, along with the fishing pier, the NC Aquarium and historic Fort Fisher. The beach is a short stroll across the street to the public beach access.

    Make plans today to spend a few nights enjoying this unique throwback to a simpler time in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful Kure Beach.

    *Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. For more detailed information on specific pools, please feel free to contact our office.

    Maximum Occupancy: 3 persons.
    Minimum Stay: 2-night rental in all seasons.
    Bedding Recap: 1 Queen and 1 Twin.
    Parking: Off Street Parking for two vehicles, one out front and one across the street.
    Prohibited: Smoking, Pets
    Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).

    Bryant Real Estate, established in 1952, is a professionally operated firm that is licensed in North Carolina and hired by the property owner to manage “K172– The Pelican" at Hidden Treasure Inn (Room 2) as a vacation rental.

Arrived on Thursday night, then Sunday I get a text that I wasnt allowed to smoke outside sitting on the porch with an ashtray, I totally understand not smoking inside, but no signs listed or anything as far as smoking outside. And what beats that is the group next to me had stayed there for years and had always smoked outside and was never a problem. Very disappointed and was going to book another trip in August.

The location was great. Got a call on our arrival day that the pool was closed. Booking a location with a pool was important to us so that was upsetting. Parking was easy, walking to beach and dinner was easy, room was small but great for what we needed!

Excellent location

Great location, very short walk to the beach. Grounds are very well kept. There was a delay in the availability of the pool, but we were able to use it the second half of our stay. There were a couple of small issues upon check-in which were promptly addressed. Would definitely stay again!

Truly a hidden treasure

Great location made for easy walk to the beach, the pier, a park and restaurants. Situated on a quiet side street but easy to find. Check in and out were simple. Nothing fancy on the inside. Beautiful grounds. Only 4 units so the pool was never crowded. Lots of outdoor seating and a hammock. I’m planning to stay here again.

Get away weekend

Rain the whole weekend. It did not stop us for I hit all the resale shops and consignment stores and had a blast the day we left we got to walk on the beach.

McGuiver fun

Was great- however I did have to ‘McGuiver’ things in the kitchen- Coffee pot non functional No spatula for skillet No toaster. Only stove top with not all eyes functioning.

The room was nice but very cozy. The location was great. It was very easy walking distance to the pier to watch the sunrise. But be prepared to have to walk through the sprinklers if you are getting out in the early morning. The sprinklers are set to run from about 6:30- 7:30a.m.There is a toaster/air fryer combo, coffee pot, microwave, & stove top but be prepared to get creative on how to areange them when you need to use them due to having very short cords and not many outlets. The only real complaint about the room was the size of the shower. It was a TINY walk-in and was difficult to comfortably move around to get all the "important places" clean. However, the showehead can be used as a handheld which was nice. And the water pressure was good.

Horrible company

They said room was a mess I cleaned it before I left. They charged me for last st keys that they told me there self they found. On the counter where I was told to leave them. I requested photos of the room messy but they had none ...Scammers!

Quaint little piece of heaven

Loved our room with the little kitchen area, and loved the pool and quietness of the neighborhood and the close proximity to everything. The only thing that I'm upset with (more mad at myself) is I left my small quilt & pillow for last and my sister came out and had the place locked up, so I didn't go back in to make my last round and left my quilt behind ;( it was given to me from a special friend and she actually signed & dated it. So I'm not sure why the cleaners wouldn't have turned it in. I was in the area the entire following week after check out and I called 3 different times. I know you are not responsible for things left behind, but I also work for a property management company and go above & beyond to help our tenants & residents. I do look forward to going back again. Thank you
