Within Greece, the Messinia region where Koroni is located has recorded very few cases of Covid.
Stone’s throw Cottage & Studio are located outside the town. Koroni centre is an easy 20 min walk or a 5 min drive away. Both properties are safe, secluded havens, set amongst an olive grove with direct access to a peaceful, uncrowded beach. Both houses are fully equipped to allow for a very comfortable and relaxing stay, putting guests in command of how much they interact with the local community.
Cleaning & disinfecting procedures have been ramped up to ensure the safety of our
guests. Linen is washed between guests at a high temperature.

Set in an olive grove about 100 mtrs or less from the beautiful, sandy Zaga beach is this wonderful, family holiday home.
The property has two bedrooms, one with a new Queen sized bed complete with beautiful linen and cotton bedding. There is a large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, the other bedroom has two single beds again with very nice bedding, and a large chest of drawers.
There is also a double sofa/bed in the lounge/kitchen area, so the cottage can sleep up to 6 people comfortably.
There is a shower room in the property with a shower, basin, w.c. and washing machine. Water is heated by Solar and is very hot!
All towels, including beach towels and clean linen are provided .
The kitchen is fulled fitted out and is part of the living area. There is a table and chairs, bookcase, full sized cooker and large fridge freezer, the kitchen has all amenities, kettle, toaster, juicer, pots and pans and all cutlery. There is a cafetiere and tea pot. There is a good sized sink with drainer and worktops. At this time the kitchen sink has only cold water but hot water can be brought from the shower room.
Air conditioning is in the main bedroom and in the living area and can be used for heating in the cooler months.
The Cottage is light and airy and benefits greatly from sea breezes in the hot Summer months....
Double doors lead of the Living area/kitchen to the balcony towards the sea. Here you will find a small greek style table and chairs and a single banquette (Greek style concrete bed) with mattress for a great siesta on a hot afternoon! or sleep outside on one of those sultry nights. There are glimpses of the sea from this balcony and views of the garden and olive groves around.
Leading of the bedrooms is another long balcony, a lovely place to sit and watch the sea, and admire the surrounding area.
Although the property is detached, a few mtrs. away is Stone's Throw Studio, a completely separate rental property, suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children and right on the beach, but if you wish, the two properties can be rented together .
There is plenty off road parking on the land with a large car port to take two cars. and whilst a car is not a necessity it is recommended, or why not hire bikes from Uli, details in the cottage.
The town of Koroni is a half hour walk away along the beach, up through the atmospheric, medieval Castle with its few inhabitants. There is a monastery and churches within the Castle walls and stupendous views from the walk around the perimeter. Then take a walk down the steps into town, the best way, but there are other walking options.
In the town you will find everything for your needs, Supermarket, Bakers, Fresh Fish, Cafes, Restaurants, Banks with ATM machines in several languages and there are also taxis for hire and a fairly frequent bus service that takes you to Kalamata with its charming old quarter, about 1 hours drive away. There is also a car hire company.
Koroni town is charming, built on terraces with its red roof buildings, wander round the backstreets and find quaint cottages and Byzantine churches.....
Along the harbourside are many restaurants, a good one specializing in Fish and all with their own unique charm, and if its a late night and you cant face the walk back, jump in a taxi with a friendly driver for about 5 euros!
If you want to eat more locally to the cottage there are 3 restaurants along the beach, all within easy walking distance.
Zaga beach where the property is situated is home to nesting Loggerhead Turtles in the Summer months and all along the beach you will see nests from June to September, they are protected and monitored by young volunteers and if you are lucky and on the beach at the right time you will see the hatchlings rushing to the sea, a wonderful sight. You would be welcome to join the volunteers on their early morning inspection of the nests....but be prepared to join them at 06.00 a.m.
Enjoy the cottage garden, with many beautiful trees and shrubs. There is a patio with pergola to shade you when necessary .
Imagine, waking up and taking a very short walk and you could be swimming in the clear blue sea in a matter of a minute or less, the Cottage and Stone's Throw Studio are what dreams are made of for beach lovers.

Enjoy the Summer Music Festival that Koroni hosts every year, with concerts to suit all tastes, there are usually 2 concerts a week in wonderful locations, tickets can be bought from a gift shop "Aldebaran" in Koroni Town.
