Poipu Makai B3 is located on a bluff a couple of yards from the water with stunning, full uninhibited views of the ocean. Enhance your senses – the visual beauty of the waves crashing against the shoreline and the gentle sound of the living and breathing sea. Spend hours counting the turtles swimming at your doorstep or the whales and dolphins playing or breaching while you relax surrounded by tranquility and peacefulness on the large lanai. Your oasis is only a half-mile walk to world renowned Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach where you can choose to play in the water next to sunning sea turtles, snorkel or surf.

The 1600 square foot 2 story townhouse underwent a complete renovation which was finished in June, 2022 in order to make your stay even more comfortable, a home away from home. The townhouse is situated to take advantage of the coastal breeze which incessantly permeates throughout the unit. Air conditioning is available in all 3 bedrooms and the family room for warmer days and nights. The two master bedroom suites are privately situated with King sized beds and their own en-suite bathrooms. The exceptionally large second-floor master bathroom has a walk-in shower with a separate large soaking tub and a beautiful spa-like atmosphere. The third bedroom on the first floor, with its own private lanai, can be arranged as two twin beds or configured as a King bed as you choose.

The sunlit kitchen faces the ocean and is adorned with new grained wood cabinets, contrasting black granite countertops and contemporary stainless steel appliances. Eat your meals al fresco with an unobstructed view of the ocean on the large solid natural wood dining table steps outside the kitchen. The adjoining oversized family room has a large sectional where everyone can relax after a fulfilling day exploring the island. New comfortable furnishings offer a contemporary Hawaiian flare with up-to-date technologies – 3 smart TVs, the highest-speed internet on Kauai and a Sonos surround-sound system to listen to your playlist. An architecturally impressive spiral staircase connects the family room with the large loft, a small oasis in itself.

The townhouse is located in a quiet, pristine, exclusive 15 unit complex with a soaking pool and barbecue for your convenience. Please note that the townhouse is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible or suitable for people with mobility issues; multiple stairs are required to access the Penthouse.

For your enjoyment, access to the upscale Poipu Beach Athletic Club is free. A 5 minute drive, or approximately 1 mile away, you and your guests have access to a beautiful pool with sand beach and waterslide ideal for kids and grownups alike. In addition, PBAC has an expansive indoor/outdoor gym (only in Hawaii!) with free weights and machines, aerobic equipment (bikes and treadmills), fitness classes and yoga. 4 USTA tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts and 2 basketball half-courts are also available to you in addition to showers and locker rooms. The place has all the amenities you need for the kitchen, bathroom/shower, laundry, first aide, whale watching… Parking was easy and the views were amazing. Lovely home, great communication the entire time and very close to the beach! Had a fantastic time!

Our trip was wonderful made only better by our stay in this condo. It was just as advertised, well maintained, and clean. The views were spectacular, and we especially enjoyed seeing the turtles swimming about every day. The nightly sunsets were breathtaking.

We came to Kauai for my 60th Birthday. We adventured during the day and hung out mid day in the townhouse. The views are amazing. The property is exactly as pictured. All beds comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with spices/sugar and some coffee. There’re beach chairs/umbrellas and boogie boards. My only suggestion would be to get a screen for the living room sliding window for the mid day sun! It was kinda brutal. The master bedroom upstairs was cool enough but there was no way for me to get ready in that bathroom upstairs after a shower. Too hot and humid to blow dry my hair or apply makeup up there. I would stay there again without question, but these 2 things could be improved upon.

The townhome was beautiful! Just as pictured in the listing. Check in was easy, and the place was immaculate. The host was very accomodating when I asked if we could check in a little bit early because our flight landed earlier in the day. This was our first time to Kauai, and the host provided several recommendations to us ahead of time which was very helpful. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs master, and loved the sound of the ocean every night through the open window. Our adult kids with their sig.others stayed in the other bedrooms downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked, and they also had beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, etc that we made good use of. We saw pods of dolphins off of the lanai several mornings, and went down to Poipu Beach to see the sea turtles come in at sunset one night, which was a very cool experience. We made use of the athletic club that was included - had dinner at the restaurant there one night, enjoyed the pool, and even used the gym facilities one morning. Would definitely recommend this townhome. Mahalo!

Perfect location

This condo was exactly as described, with breathtaking ocean views and stunning sunsets. From the balcony, we enjoyed watching turtles feed along the shoreline and whales play in the distance. The Poipu Country Club was a fantastic bonus—offering fun activities like pickleball with other groups and basketball, as well as a relaxing pool and poolside bar service. One evening, I even grilled a delicious shrimp dinner on the bbq available. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The table off of the kitchen on the deck was the perfect place to sit for breakfast and evening pupus.There was a huge TV in the livingroom where we all could sit and enjoying viewing.The kitchen was well equipped.The host provided two bottles of wine, a red and a white, plus coffee, which was very nice.The things we wished were better maintained was the porch light, which was out the entire week we were there. We had to use our cell phones in a dark corridor to see.Although everyone took their shoes off inside the condo, the floors were quite dirty, and my socks would be black on the bottom. We put clean socks on daily to walk on the floors. We wish there had been better instructions for finding the condo. We had to run up and down different flights of stairs looking for our unit. We arrived at night and it wasn’t easy to find our condo in the dark, especially with the porch light out.We wish there had been a Kurieg coffee maker, because some of us drank decaf, and some regular. Using a drip coffee maker made it difficult.

Don’t miss this apartment in paradise!

Absolutely stunning condo that’s even better in person than the already gorgeous pictures posted! You are greeted instantly with an incredible view and tons of natural light filling the apartment, and the sounds of the intense waves crashing up against the rocks. We left the windows open each night to enjoy those sounds all night long from the master bedroom. The complex is safe and quiet, the apartment is clean and comfortable with a huge smart tv, well stocked and just an overall fantastic stay. The property manager was incredibly helpful and such a sweet person who goes above and beyond to accommodate and welcome guests. Mahalo for having us!

Great property and Outstanding Location

This property is located very close to the southernmost point of Kuai 'i. It is within walking distance to Poipu Beach and Brennecke's Beach; short drive to many restaurants. The balcony offered views of sunrise and sunset every day, sea turtles and whales. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The place is even better than the photos. We had an outstanding trip. Host Paul was very communicative and helpful. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. The access to the beach club was an added bonus especially on the departure day.

Poipu Makai

Beautiful place. A little tricky trying to park at night when we got in. If not for my son in law it may have taken us a while to find B3. But once we found it it was a beautiful place. Gorgeous view, beautiful lanai. A few picky things on my part. No elevators but I knew going in that it was a lot of steps. I managed ok and the steps were shorter than normal steps but everyone else had no problems. VRBO says coffee supplied but it was a really small bag and lasted two days so we had to buy more. Again, picky stuff I’d definitely stay here again. We saw many sea turtles and once we saw dolphins so it was a great view and the sunsets and stars were spectacular.

Family vacation

The property manager was amazing and so responsive and helpful with any questions- We were with 2 teenagers and a 12 year old and my 80 yr old mom and we had a great time- The property was clean and as pictured. The view was outstanding! The location was great as well a short walk to the perfect beach- Would definitely rent at this location again- just a perfect trip and beautiful property!

Fun in Poipu

The condo was clean and well-appointed. All communications were very good. The only potential drawback for some people might be that there are 40 steps in order to get up to unit from parking. That is a lot when toting heavy suitcases. We were told there were 20 steps when we inquired in advance, but in reality there are many more than that.

Truly Paradise

Our stay exceeded our expectations! Perfect Visit

Fantastic Ocean Paradise

Great property, great location! The condo is spacious, beautifully maintained and fully equipped. The view is spectacular! We could watch sea turtles, dolphins and even a whale from the balcony. The owners are very helpful and everything was clean and nice. We loved our stay in this wonderful accommodation and will definitely come back soon.

Best location, Setup and Water Views in Piopu

I did hours of research on finding a place to stay in Kauai. We decided on the Piopu area (best location in the south to stay on the island for sunnier days, locations to activities/restaurants/beaches, and the unit had direct ocean views to be able to watch the sunset and sea life. The condo was amazing with having 3 bedrooms a large loft area and 3 nice bathrooms. It was well stocked with items for the beach and all the kitchen tools you would need. We decided to splurge by getting a 3 vs. 2 bedroom unit and it was well worth it for our high school daughter and son to each have their own room. The unit could easily accommodate 6-8 people comfortably. We highly enjoyed watching the sea turtles, whales and dolphins from the outside dining table each day. (Note: the unit does have a lot of stairs so for elderly people it would be a challenge. But it is well worth it since you are higher up to have the direct Ocean Views and Vaulted Ceilings.). Parking was fine with plenty of spaces on the top of the parking garage. The unit's AC worked well but we hardly used it since the windows were all well built with screens/openings to let in the ocean breeze and fans in all the rooms. We would highly recommend this condo and plan on returning in the next couple years.

Phenomenal view

The view and breaking waves are unbeatable!!! No swimming beach below but several within a short drive. The condo gets tremendous fresh breezes passing throughout the entire unit, and has a lovely dining area in a breeze protected patio overlooking the ocean. Ceiling Fans and individual AC units in every room allowed all to choose their comfort levels. A separate reading lift with tv and a spacious great room gave a larger family space to be comfortable at their own activities. Beds were very comfortable with additional blankets etc. Communication with host was superb and maintenance needs handled swiftly. No issues with door codes which are not uncommon in rentals. There are many stairs coming and going from parking, but nice hand rails if needed. Would definitely rent this unit again.

The View!!!

This property was clean, spacious, well-stocked and provided the most incredible view of the ocean, including whales, sea turtles, sunsets and crashing waves! Would definitely stay there again! (One note of warning to those with limited mobility: there are a number of steps one must take to get to the condo because it is on the third floor and there is no elevator; however, if that is not an issue for anyone in your party, then you will be well-rewarded upon arriving inside the condo.)
