Prince Kuhio Resort is the perfect location to enjoy the sunny South of Kauai. Two excellent snorkeling beaches are just steps away. The famous Beach House Restaurant is across the street. All the activities of the Poipu Beach area are within a 2 mile drive. The grounds are a gardeners delight with an incredible variety of flowering plants, shrubs and trees surrounding a beautiful and private swimming pool.

This particular accommodation has an ideal location in the middle of the second floor with great views of the ocean and park on one side and the tropical garden on the other. The lanai is perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning over Prince Kuhio Park or Hawaiian net fishermen casting their nets on the nearby reef.

The owners of this condo spend several months each year on Kauai and have equipped their condominium with every possible appliance and comfort including games, beach mats, guide books and extra beach towels.

Activities nearby include: seasonal swimming, snorkeling (right across the road!), horseback riding, boat tours, fishing, botanical gardens tours, surfing, scuba diving, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, zip-lining, kayaking, biking, sailing, hiking, shopping and golfing.

Was given wrong keys when checked in at property manger…about 25mins away. Thank goodness someone on site had an extra key for us. Not sure why a lock box next to the door but still have to get/return keys in Lihue at Property manager office. They let us know maintenance would be reaching out about the squeaking ceiling fan in bedroom, never heard from anyone but wasn’t needed with the awesome breeze. Has AC -we never turned on. Small condo complex very well maintained, parking spots are tight and the grounds are beautiful. Perfect location walking distance to couple beaches and the condo had beach chairs, sun umbrella,snorkel gear and a cooler. Very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to coming again!

Great place but the property management has a lot of work that they need to do!

The unit and property was GREAT! Loved the location with walking distance to the beaches, running paths and restaurants! The unit was pristine as far as clean and had all the amenities. But the property management company was not helpful at all. First when I called to ask questions the lady was very condescending and didn't answer my questions, and kept referring to "the email we sent" instead of just answering the questions during my call. Also in this day and age of key pads/electronic entry, we had to physically go out of our way to pick up the keys at the property management office 30 minutes away, to then find a key pad right next to the door for the unit when we got to the property. We had to use a key pad to pick up the keys at the office as well. Very inconvenient when you are going different directions. Family staying at the same resort but different unit had key pads and very easy check in. I would say because of the property managements poor customer service I would consider staying elsewhere. Sad because it's a great property, but really difficult to work with them. Took pictures even to show the key pads but not an option with the review.

Prince Kuhio Poipu

Pleasantly surprised with the beautiful garden and pool area of the property as driving by it is very deceiving! The gardens are very well maintained and beautiful as is the pool. The barbecue area is a bonus. Highly recommend renting a unit with a/c it sure came in handy on still nights!

Outstanding location for a Hawaiian getaway

We were very happy with our stay at Prince Kuhio. The location was great, it allowed for a quick access to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach. Not far from adventure hubs like Small Boats Harbor and Lihue airport. Easy drive to Waimea Canyon. Highly recommend. Our apartment was full of amenities, to include beach towels, snorkeling gear, kitchen appliances, etc.

Great place

Well appointed property, perfect for our stay on Kauai. The apartment is centrally located and easy to get to all the great attractions. The apart give you a great opportunity to save money on food as it has everything you need to cook meals. Bed is very comfortable. Would love to come back one day.

Beautiful condo

We loved our stay here. The bed was super comfy and we had everything we needed. So helpful to have beach chairs and an umbrella to borrow when we went to the beach. Would definitely stay here again if we come back.

Lovely peaceful unit and great location.

We are a couple from NYC and were looking for a quiet and relaxing space, with a great and easy location and lots to do around us. This is exactly what we found. While other reviewers were unhappy with the “rules” about being quiet after a certain time, we absolutely loved this about the property and would easily stay again. The space was perfect for a couple (probably tight for those with parties greater than two) and we loved the quaintness about it.

Great location in Poipu

We really liked the unit, although the complex feels like a retirement community with lots of rules (towels on balconies are "eyesores", no BBQ or laundry after 8 pm, etc.). Great view of the ocean and located close to a tiny beach with good snorkling and nice sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped; beach chairs and snorkling gear available; but the bed needs an upgrade.

Prince Kuhio #210 was just perfect for my bestie and me!

This condo was perfect. Neither one of us have been to this beautiful island, so to have this condo as our home base for a week was ideal. Beautiful weather...Poipu which means sunny...and located right across the street from the best snorkling spot! Seals, turtles and fish galore!!! I would absolutely recommend this lovely spot and condo!!

Paradise Found!

We love this location and this unit. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home in paradise. The location is great set among beautiful tropical foilage and landscaping. The pool is wonderful and the outdoor amenities (like the Weber grilles and picnic tables) were great. Our particular condo was spacious and updated. it is tastefully decorated and we love sitting on the rear lanai looking out at the ocean in the morning and evening. We can't wait to come back.

Good and some not-so-good!

This was definitely an affordable spot in Poipu. I loved that the unit (203) had AC, and was clean and had a washer and dryer. I liked being able to walk out to the back porch and see the water from a distance, across the street. The neighbors were nice, which was good since you will be seeing them anytime you go outside. My husband is a light sleeper and the chickens crowing before dawn and in the evening were a lot to handle. Next door is a park and the chickens have taken it over. I also thought there were two decks for some reason, but there is just one. Outside the door is a walkway where people pass by the room to get to their own unit. There are tinted windows so people can't glance into your unit - unless it's evening and the lights are on. Then you need to shut the curtains, which made for a dark sort of environment. There was nowhere really to go for privacy, which is my favorite thing on vacation. So I missed that part of the trip. Also, we may have been unlucky this week, as there was construction in several neighboring units happening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. so it was loud and they even used our own deck for repairs to a neighboring unit. Not what I was hoping for, but definitely one of the less expensive places to stay in the area. Next time I will stay up at the north shore in a house if possible. That area had a great, serene vibe.

Amazing condo with everything you need !

Wonderful, thoughtfully equipped condo over looking the ocean. Had all you needed to enjoy the beach. View was amazing off the lanai . Close to Poipu beach Bed was so comfortable. Lanai breeze/ and fans made it wonderfully cool no need for A/C. Had an amazing stay!

Great location for beaches

Very nicely appointed condo with everything you need. Excellent wind drafts from the bedroom balcony help cool the unit during the night. Note uber rides are hard to get but there is a free evening shuttle for dinner to sign up far. Great beaches across the street

Wonderful

Great place. I loved that it included beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels and flippers. It was handy having washer and dryer and detergent. It had everything, even sunscreen. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and organized. It wasn’t bad not having ac, as the breeze and fans made up for it. Lovely view of the ocean and Prince Kuhio park. We will definitely stay again! Also, the women working at Kauai Vacation rentals are fantastic, very nice and helpful. Also the bed, pillows and sheets were very comfortable. I highly recommend this property.

Lovely home away from home

The property is sweet, roomy, comfortable and clean. The king bed is heavenly, the kitchen is on the small side but updated and FULLY equipped. Most everything you need is provided for beach going and for spending time in the condo.
