Terrible experience—I’ve never had an issue like this with a hotel before.
I booked 2 deluxeroomsfor my mother, nephew, and niece for one night. The reservation clearly included breakfast. However, when they went to have breakfast, they were told that breakfast was not included and were denied service.
I immediately contacted the front desk, but the receptionist was not helpful at all. She acknowledged that my reservation showed breakfast was included, but said their system did not reflect it and that we would either have to pay separately or contact Expedia.
Trying to reach Expedia in real time was extremely frustrating, and as many travelers know, getting an issue resolved quickly through a third-party booking platform can be very difficult.
What was even more concerning was what happened next. My family ended up paying separately for breakfast, but they were not given a receipt. When they informed me, I contacted the front desk and requested a receipt. The receptionist agreed to generate one, but when the receipt was finally provided, the charge was listed as “room service” rather than breakfast. I found this very questionable and concerning, especially since it did not accurately reflect what was actually purchased.
What disappointed me most was the hotel’s lack of willingness to honor a reservation that clearly included breakfast and their failure to resolve the issue professionally on the spot. Experience created unnecessary stress and inconvenience for my family.
