Welcome to Joiku Resort, where newly built villas blend clean design with the natural beauty of Lapland. Completed in October 2024, these villas feature high ceilings, glass walls, and cosy interiors with top-quality appliances.
Set beside the Ylläs swing and Äkäslompolo lake - a favourite Northern Lights spot, and with ski tracks right outside, it’s an ideal winter retreat. With the village’s supermarket and services just a short walk away, Joiku offers an exceptional, relaxed holiday setting.

This villa, crafted with attention to detail and style, features materials selected by an interior designer to create a harmonious blend of dark wood and limestone-inspired granite ceramics. The floor plan has been designed with a focus on gathering, relaxing, and experiencing the beauty of Lapland in a luxurious, functional setting.


Living & Kitchen Area

On the ground floor, the open kitchen and spacious living area open up to high architectural ceilings and are framed by large windows that flood the space with natural light. The kitchen includes generous storage, integrated appliances, a premium induction hob, and a hidden breakfast cupboard. Step out onto the wide terrace, which spans the full width of the villa and is ideal for enjoying meals or relaxing after a sauna session.

The bath and sauna facilities are also on the ground floor, allowing easy access to the terrace for cooling off or to the lake for a refreshing dip.

For sleeping arrangements, there are two cozy bedrooms upstairs, as well as an alcove with a sliding door and an additional bedroom downstairs, perfect for added privacy or flexible accommodation.

This villa has been constructed with energy efficiency in mind, powered by a water-air heat pump and complemented by solar technology to ensure a comfortable, eco-conscious stay.

Situated in the charming village of Äkäslompolo, near Yllästunturi Ski Resort, the villa is well-connected for those arriving by bus from Kittilä Airport or Kolari train station, making it a convenient and welcoming retreat in the heart of Lapland’s stunning landscape.


Private Beach Sauna Experience

Starting January-February 2025, guests can enjoy a private beach sauna rental right on the lakefront. This setup includes a Drop Design pool jacuzzi on the terrace, positioned next to the lake, where you can switch between the warmth of the sauna, a dip in the icy waters, or a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi. This unique setup offers an authentic Lapland experience, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure in the surrounding wilderness.


Important Note

Please be aware that the resort is currently finalizing extension works next door. While there won’t be any heavy or loud construction noise, there is a chance of some daytime noise during working hours. We aim to keep any disturbance minimal, ensuring you can still enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The villa is exclusively yours, without interruption during your stay, so relax, unwind, and make yourself at home.

Other than the already mentioned amenities, our home is also equipped with fast Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, and a washing machine

The nearby Ylläs Swing offers panoramic lake and mountain views, which you can also enjoy through the villa`s large windows. For hiking and biking enthusiasts, trails from the Ylläs-Pallas National Park begin on the eastern side of the lake.
